Heh, nothing I can add to fashion. That has always been my one weakness in writing Rarity, is my utter lack of fashion sense. Still, I believe you have got her down really well here. I look forward to seeing more. We all know the heartbreak is coming... :fluttershyouch:

I acrually think you missed Rarity's character in some ways. Sure, you nailed her as a concerned older sister when she took away the CNC' lances. However, I don't think Rarity would accept a job not in Ponyville so far away so quickly, even if it was Canterlot. All and all, it was a good story and I like your OC too.

Bill & Teds Fashions? Too much surfer dude:rainbowlaugh:

And who will run her boutique when she's gone?:trollestia:

Finally a story about me!:pinkiehappy:

However, I don't think Rarity would accept a job not in Ponyville so far away so quickly, even if it was Canterlot.

I was back and forth about this and contemplated having an additional scene of her maybe taking a walk and considering it, but in the end I fell back on what we see in Sweet and Elite. She is preparing to leave Canterlot when a letter is slipped under her door inviting her to the garden party. She very quickly decides that it is too important to miss out on, and doesn't go to Twi's birthday party. At no point in the episode, or any other time in the show, does she ever consider this the wrong decision.

In her line of work, opportunities are rare, and if she doesn't grab them when she can, they will be gone forever. Rarity is not one to sit around and contemplate something like this, she makes quick decisions on the fly. Sometimes they are the wrong decision, but she always makes the right choice in the end, and that is why I love her. I wholeheartedly believe that if she were given the choice to run a shop in Canterlot, she would jump at the chance. And it really isn't her being inconsiderate or selfish, she is just making what she believes is a good business decision.

Thanks for reading, and I'm glad that you liked my OC.:raritywink:

That was literally the most profound and evidence supported response I've ever had to one of my comments. At any rate, I can't wait for more!
