Looks like it is up to Dash and Spike is fix everything. I expect a lot of 'I told you so' when this is all over.
Plot twist: Trixie is actually not behind the scheme and in fact has no idea why ponies suddenly adore her; she's just happy to finally be admired the way she's always wanted and isn't questioning things. The real masterminds are Flim and Flam, who are setting her up as their fall pony for the inevitable disaster while they escape with the profits, knowing full well that nopony will believe her when she says she's innocent.
Or something. I'm at least hoping that the plot isn't quite as predictable as it seems.
Everyone's in love with Trixie? Spike is in the character tags? This looks like a pretty solid promise for some almost-shippy interaction betwee—!

Still a fun premise, though.

Any time Trixie is involved, I kind of want her to win. In this case, I actually want to see Chrysalis win (since she's portraying Trixie).
I don't even like Trixie or Chrys... I just like seeing the bad guy succeed once in awhile.

Since she went under the love spell she wants to share this new love of Trixie with everypony. They eat the cereal, fall in love with Trixie, see her show, love empowers, go back to SCC with ticket, free cereal, recharged on love spell, more love for Trixie.
6037915 Well with Flitter and Cloudchaser, she didn't outright insult Trixie, just said that the cereal is affecting her friends brain. Rainbow and Spike both call Trixie a fraud. Call your friend an idiot, they might laugh, call your friends hero an idiot and you've crossed the line.
If I may make a minor nitpick...
The scene where Rainbow is looking over the 'encampment' as it builds states:
Properly, Lotus and Aloe are the owners, proprietors (or 'proprietresses', as they're both female) or similar. The 'Patrons' of the spa would be ponies such as Rarity or Fluttershy, those who the spa serves.

Ha! What a good story. It was good to see Spike in brave and glorious action (rather like in the movie, though this was published before the movie came out) instead of the more canon Spike abuse, thank you for that.
This was also a believable plot for something that Chrysalis might have thought up, too bad she had to go and do the usual villain destroying evil scheme reveal, when will they ever learn to shut up and just stick with Peter's Evil Overlord List?
Trixie was a good character to use as Chryssi's mask, it fits so well, good thing she found her courage when it mattered, something like the season 6 finale, but again this was published before that came out wasn't it? You some sort of an MLP psychic?
I guess the citizens of Ponyville were just lucky Trixie didn't have a backup band singing songs about "Welcome to the Show..." The story might have ended differently if those three had teamed up with either Queen Chrysalis or even unreformed Trixie.
Where did the idea of magic cereal come from, or were you just spoofing the breakfast cereal ads on Saturday morning cartoon shows? Indeed, was that the trigger for this story?

"Scootaloo"
Okay so I write a paragraph, then I ask them to add a character.
"Spike"
Okay, she bumps into Spike. write a conversation. bla bla bla, okay, another character
"Trixie"
Now nobody knows what I'm writing, they say a name and then I add what happens. Chapter 1 and 2 were written like this, with me just writing in characters into this world that my friends are unknowingly adding too. "But where did the cereal come from?" I hear you cry. Well... would you believe me if I told you that I saw the picture on google one random day and it stuck with me? I needed a reason for the crowd to love Trixie. Boom! Mind Control foods! That's where the idea came from.
As for the plot twist of it NOT being Trixie, I think I was at a theme park and my brain said, what if it's not Trixie? What if it's the Queen? and it all fell into place. The love spell, the power, the mind control like with shining armor in season 2. It all fit, so I sat down and created a backstory of what happened to Trixie and how it all went about and... This all just fell together and while it took me YEARS to write this, I really loved writing it and would do it again in a heartbeat. It's ironic really that I made this story to break my writers' block but it also contributed to it too :P I didn't wanna start another story until I finished this one and... yeah. Took YEARS!!
I get the feeling that this is going to be a lot sillier comedy than some darker fic with a massive plot twist. This should be good. Clearly the charm is in the cereal. But...is it the Trix you can see?
Soooo, I wonder what's causing the Trixie Charms. Trixie herself, or an unknown benefactor? Well, probably not long to roll down the hill of crazy until we find out.
So far, it looks like Spike and Rainbow Dash are the only ones remaining uninfested by crazy, so maybe they'll team up soon.
I suspect Trixie herself isn't responsible for the scheme, though for that to be the case she either has to have been given a mind whammy of her own or she's seriously dense to think the ponies are praising such minor cantrips like levitating Big Mac a couple of feet in the air. Likely the latter!
If she is responsible, though...Alicorn Amulet, used in a different way?
So yeah, essentially somepony else manipulating Trixie for their own benefit. I have to say, I have a hard time seeing Trixie's wagon as being large enough to hide Trixie herself in the changeling's green goop.
I suspect that maybe since Trixie helped charge the Crystal Heart, she did something with her magic that the changelings were able to exploit to make others love Trixie, or her image.
And of course Chrysalis monologues. The instant she did that her fate was sealed. Looks like she learned nothing from the wedding
Well, even though Chrysalis escaped, she's still lost her entire army. Unless she plans to subjugate the Crystal Heart and use it to take control of the Crystal Ponies again.
Trixie had her big damn hero moment, along with Spike. Now to just convince Cadance to continue blessing all those boxes of Trixie's Charms. She should be getting a good amount of royalties from all the cereal, too.
The Mane 6 were absolutely useless in this fic outside of Rainbow Dash, and I'm not surprised one bit

Changlings sound plausible, but Flim and Flam would be one heck of a con.
Not only is the Cereal magically changing others perception of Trixie through regular eatings but strong enough to affect Alicorns.
Either way Trixie gets the short stick once everything goes back to normal.
