It had been a few weeks since Tirek's downfall and everything was peaceful in Equestria once more. Ponies went about their daily business and life moved on. However, deep within the White Tail Woods, life continued to be a constant struggle for the ponies of White Tail Village, a rather isolated place that had yet to be marked on the map. Timberwolves had recently attacked the village in the middle of the night, injuring the guards and making off with whatever they could carry. For one Earth pony in his mid-twenties however, he decided that he wasn't going to let them get away ever again. Alongside his companion, he set out early in the morning to track them down, not letting the rain that day stop him. Unbeknownst to him though was that he was about to encounter something that would change his destiny forever... something powerful from an empire thought eradicated in another realm...

5051632 I have many ideas floating around in my head Sage. Big ideas. The story will start off slow, but it will continue to become more and more interesting. The best part about writing a story like this is definitely the character development and world building, getting to create lore and locations and characters that are actually interesting. I'm not saying that canon characters won't be used or seen, but I don't have as much fun writing about them as I do with my own OC. There will be betrayal, sacrifice, courage, relationships, everything that a good adventure story needs. Don't worry about the story being short my friend, I have a feeling that it will at least exceed 50+ chapters. I'm not going anywhere, but by that time it will most likely have been over a year's worth of epicness. Now if I can just get more attention...

I think a Berserker, Mage, and Cleric and Rogue. I'm not sure, I could be completely off. Sorry if you don't like people butting in on your story.
5051956 You're not butting in at all. The story will have some very loose RPG elements (eg. classes) based on the Pathfinder RPG (which is like D&D). Willow is indeed very much like a Ranger. As for the other characters, I was thinking something like this: Rogue (Thief), Druid, Wizard (Mage), Fighter, and a Cleric. Now remember, these characters will have traits, personalities, and skills somewhat like the classes, but there won't be a time when they are referred to as such. (For example, Willow won't say that he is a Ranger, nor will another member say that he/she is a Fighter, but their actions will give the reader an idea of who they are and what they are good or bad at) Plus, I think you might be able to determine the races because of this before you even meet them!

The only complaint I have so far is you getting Rarity's coat color wrong. You said it was a light gray, but she's actually pure white. Other than that, I look forward to seeing where things go. Being a Pathfinder fan and collector, this should be good. I trust magical artifacts, gear, and weapons will be appearing in the future?

Your welcome! So, since you're a Pathfinder fan, I've got a question for you that's off topic: favorite adventure path. I know you're channeling from Rise of the Runelords and Shattered Star for this story, but that doesn't mean they're your favorite.
5094488 Rise of the Runelords is definitely my favourite adventure path so far. It was my first one after all and I had a wonderful time playing it. The next chapter will be out as soon as possible, and you'll definitely want to be there for this one. It's definitely the most action-packed one yet, until it's replaced by future chapters of course :)

same mistake as before, you should really invest in either a proofreader or the practice of leaving the unposted work alone for at least five minutes so you can catch some of your own errors.
5167103 Ah, thank you for pointing out those minor errors. I pride myself on having an error-free story, but sometimes when writing larger chapters those small errors can be easily missed. The same can also be said about smaller chapters, but most of the time I tend to find and correct them. Also, thank you for the advice =)
