Celestia was fighting with them for a while and was threatening to shut them down...
Pinkie Pie is more possible but still she's been tortured a couple of times as well...
I do like Starwind's idea, though. It seems very possible.
Although I'm not sure she'd embarass her husband on the show.
I wonder who would call Chyrisalis 'Chrissy', though?

Darling, you have lead us on with wonderful little shots and now I simply can't wait to see who this "benefactor" is. My guess is someone who hasn't been involved; unless my memory fails me I believe that Luna hasn't been subjected to this show. She would also have access to the royal coffers to fund such a show.
