>>644681 I dunno. It seems too devious to be Chrysalis. I mean, yeah, her entire plan revolved around impersonating Cadance, but she's so bad at it. Anyone who had actually known Cadance and was the least bit observant would have seen through her disguise in a heartbeat, like Twilight actually did. She's not really good with the actual execution of her plans, is what I'm saying. No, this sounds more like Discord's MO, twisting a character until they're a mockery of their former self and a slave to chaos. It wouldn't be hard, either, as the narrator is already pretty twisted to begin with.

I've also seen Discord (and Lyra, for that matter) get green text in fics before, so that doesn't explicitly mean changeling, either. That, and there is, literally, nothing at all to gain from this from the point of view of a changeling. Chrysalis was evil and scheming, but it was all for the benefit of the hive, in order to steal more of the love they feed on, which this will not assist in at all. Discord doesn't need a motive, as the chaos is all he cares about, and once again, the twisting of a character matches up with what we've seen from him before, where a changeling would be more likely to kidnap and replace to make sure whatever nefarious scheme they have goes down how they want, and Chryssy has shown herself to be rather rusty at that sort of thing.
