T

The barriers between our worlds have always kept them separate. But because of a message missed by all but one, this barrier was broken. Now two friends find themselves in the land of Equestria. It is a land that is similar, yet different from the one we all know.

Now stuck in a new world with no hope of returning home, they must adapt to their new bodies. Neither of the two friends know that their presence has set off a series of events that they have never experienced before in any sense of the word.

Interesting so far. I like it. Only question: The MLP Corey was watching. Was it Anthro too?

I'm sorry but, I have no idea what you could or couldn't be doing wrong at the moment! However, I will be saying that I am very intrigued by these random turn of events! I cannot wait for more~! So please keep up the good work if you can, I find it a great and mystifying read so far. :derpytongue2:

Completely up to interpretation. He either made a small error in his code that transported him to a parallel anthroverse, or in the story-verse, MLP is anthro.

Hmm... Sir? May I inquire WHAT THE FUCK is in the picture directly above this comment? Who are the strange beings which I cannot make out? I cannot read this promising-looking story until I know these things.

4933195
They are sprite forms of the humans in the story, as they are hurled through the portal. Wanted to make a simple book cover, and that's all that it was.

You have my attention... :derpyderp2:

Hm... going to give this another shot with the revised version. It already seems much less clunky compared to the original.

4933232 *presumes Dalek voice* EXPLAIN!!! EX-PLAIIIIIIN!!!!!!!

4934699
I...don't know how to make it clearer than that. A sprite is just a cluster of pixels assembled to represent an image; the sprites above are of the human forms of the two main humans as they are being thrown through the images. I'm assuming that's the image you were referring to. If you were somehow referring to my avatar, then that's something I threw together in a short time for use as an avatar on this site.

4934803 EXPLANATION ACCEPTABLE! CONTINUE WITH YOUR WORKINGS, PATHETIC LOWER LIFE FORM! ALL HAIL THE DAAAAA-LEK EMPIRE!!!! (chorus of agreement from billions of Daleks)

How do you lose a ten foot tall dragon in your own home town? :rainbowlaugh:

Got to say though, Celestia must have a relaxed dress code if somepony in a grey hoodie can pass off as the help requested. Granted, Royal Guard Unicorns did often come in grey fur. Perhaps it's the mark of the royal reserves?

Wait wait wait...... IS THIS A REWRITE?!

The chapter was nice.

The ground is not big enough to contain Corey's fail in communication, but John will have to make do until he can find a bigger planet.:rainbowlaugh:

The best fucken story ever good job

I'm going to guess that anatomy is the reason John's having so much trouble. Aside from muzzle length, dragon tongues would be vastly different from human, much less mammalian tongues. Then there are all the other contributors to speech... and the teeth...

Enough rambling... Time to pioneer Spellcoding, Corey! A new way to cast magic. It might take you a few years, but I have confidence in you. (Sorta. Maybe. I'm an optimist.)

4967504 Give this man a sticker!

I love me some java.

4968727 You username makes your comment hilarious. :rainbowlaugh:

Weren't there two more characters that came with Corey and John in the original? Or am I just going insane?

4970379

There were in the original, but to make rewriting it easier, Leo and Ivan were cut from this version. It just got really tedious keeping track of four different plot threads plus the others.

Ha-ha! Anatomy was to blame! I knew I wasn't wasting my time with all those biology classes! I love Corey's freak out though. Clever people and twenty-twenty hindsight always make for fun reactions.

As for Celestia's solution... I can only think of the mirror in the Crystal Empire or, if you follow the comics, Starswirl's mirror and it's 'channel changing' ability.

4970459 do you need a pre reader at all???

4983497
Technically already have one, but thanks for the offer nonetheless.

This... this is the best intro, EVAR!:pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

It seems Corey was a bit too thorough in compiling* that codespell**. Not only transplanting them to another reality, but neatly sealing the breach behind them. Efficiency can be a bad thing.

*that's the right word, right? I don't know much about programming
**or spellcode. Either works

5001200

Compile would be the right word. As for the code thing, that will be revealed in due time.

4935049 who you callen lower life forms I Autta blast you with by bass Connon
(As I say with a bass Connon at the ready)

(My oc it bass turnner)

I'm not trying to be mean

5003926 Nice retaliation! I agree; the Daleks suck ass. But, they ARE kinda fun to RP as.

Nice bucking way to start a story!! This is my type.

This concept also looks really fun to rroleplay.

I like your story, but the ellipsis's, there were at least 10 instances in this chapter alone (before I stopped counting) where they should've been a period or a comma.

Excluding that, there isn't anything else I see wrong. Keep it up!

"One hand was trying to scribble out notes, the other hand running through his mane."
I was pretty sure they weren't antho-ponies, but I can't always be certain.

Time for flying lessons?

5036253
They uh, always have been. I know it's a bit confusing with that sentence, but I'm pretty sure it'd still be called "mane" even in an anthroverse.

5036561 No, I mean I thought the ponies here were ponies, not anthro-ponies. Hence why I was confused by the hands. I know about the mane thing.

Admittedly, I also read the previous story instance before you started over, and I was pretty sure that was ponies too.

Assuming that collision code was yours as well, anyhow.

5036750
Yeah, the last Collision Code was also mine. I felt that Collision Code could use a rewrite, and everyone agreed. It also didn't help the last Collision Code was based on an incomplete RP that completely stalled after a time, meaning I was about to run out of material.

5036561 ur right its still a mane, they would also still have back hooves, there are two types of anthros I can think of.
1. The way ur depicting them still with wings and Horns.
2. Then there's the completely humanized where there's no magic except alchemy, and no winged pegasi only plane flying pegasi, earth ponies would still have their strength either way.

Time t0 learn about draconic resilience on top of flight.

You'd think he'd have said "How do I use these muscles," or, "how do I move my wings," at least after the first failed attempt.

5072396 He already asked himself that a few chapters ago. His first attempt resulted in him slapping himself in the face with his wing.

5073019 Yes, but he might have still asked Dash. She might have been able to say something along the lines of "Imagine slapping someone with your back," or something. Rather than just belly-flopping into the water is a repetitive, almost insane manner. Just slightly more common sense, though repetitive high-velocity impacts may have caused some... issues...:derpytongue2:

5073197 Maybe, but I found this method to be a lot more fun. :pinkiehappy:

5074655 Fun, with an extra helping of Dain Bramage!:derpytongue2:

Okay, I'll admit, I have no idea where it's going really. I hear 'the gates are open' and I think The Outer Gates from Dresden Files.

Midsentence though, I thought about Tartarus, so maybe.

Also; Thoughtbubble + Codes. Spellcoding. Perhaps a new school of magic/new theory of formulating and casting magic...

On the other hand, I wonder if the code in his cutie mark actually means anything...

Oh my god, this is awesome!!!!

5101040 Heh, That was my first thought too. Especially considering them having what may or may not qualify as Outsiders in the world.
Admittedly, Earth might be part of the same universe. Also other spoiler-ish stuff from later Dresden-files books probably invalidate that. Anyhow...
Also, if the Outergates fell in that universe, you wouldn't ever hear about it. Well, probably. I imagine reality would end up getting sundered, after all.

Gates of Tartarus do seem to be a more likely reference.

Magic based programming can be fun. Faster and easier to set up if you can get a basis to work on, albiet tends to be a bit less flexible, due to more preparation needed. Admittedly, both acts would require insane amounts of mental effort, holding so much information either way. Could be fun.
