There were a few errors I noticed: It should be a 'I don't want a ruffian...' and I'm not certain what exactly you were trying to make out of this sentence, '...heavily for area seconds, then...', but it seems like you were trying to say '...for a number of seconds...'
Can't say I enjoyed this portrayal of Octavia (sure she strikes me as a bit of a stiff, but it seems that she would be at least somewhat pleasant. Oh well, everyone to their taste I suppose.)
What was up with Octavia? Did she have a bad day or is this her personality in this chapter?
