Don't know if Twilight or Rainbow Dash, as repugnant as their actions were, would really end up facing prison time. They still are (presumably) the Elements of Harmony, so Celestia cannot send them to the dungeons since she would need their services. Plus there would be chance that they could end up refusing to help her in the future. Also, most ponies would probably be outraged at the fact that the Princesses are taking the side of a strange creature than their national heroes, even though it is more than justified.

Seems interesting, but everything seems too hurried. As it is his actions all feel artificial. Not really caring you got abducted and torn up without any development doesn't really feel like something a person would do.
