A tad random, But it was a good break from constant reading of Saving the world, Shipping and Massive amounts of violance that I read all the time =P
This was adorable. Thank you for sharing, I hope you choose to continue. And yes, im following it, even though you marked it as complete. Im a dork like that.
Welp, you've managed to make a pony moe. Are you proud of yourself? ARE YOU?
Seriously though, that was great fun. It's great to see something so... just plain happy after all the Everything Else that MLP fanfiction seems to resort to. I want moar.
Awesome story, you write Derpy very well...

I'm SOOO pisssed! I can't see the pictures!!!!!![]()
Silverstein222 out!
This was really cute... everyone accepts her and tries to help her at working on her flaws. Rainbow Dash training with her patiently and praising her, so adorable ![]()
Because you keep asking for this in chat.
Are you happy now?
I think it was a fun and good story so i up-voted it, but i think it's a shame that a lot of people make derpy seem like an idiot.
anyway, keep up the good work.![]()
That was pretty cute. You made her seem clumsy, but not idiotic. I salute you, good sir/ma'am/person.
You have captured the soul of Derpy. I hope you do more chapters.
I get such a Flowers For Algernon feeling from this, and that is such a good thing.
Great read, mate.
Hard to find good lighthearted material around here, so this is a nice change of pace!
Insert generic comment about how this is a good story and how I enjoyed it... also add in roughly 5 emotes.

Derpy is best artist. Derpy is best writer. Derpy is full of win and I shall read this diary.
I refuse to read this on the basis that Ms. Hooves has asked politely that I not. ![]()
must... resist... urge to read...
started... writing with... same... concept...
will save... for later...
The last few paragraphs seem ominous for some reason![]()
But when I saw: :O, I lost it![]()
Ah, a nice refreshing read. A good escape from all those suspenseful fics I always seem to read.
Love, Dorpy.
That made me laugh the most, actually.
GREAT STORY!

>>440473 That was the exact same thing that popped into my head too. Oh, Reading class...
I loved this story, though- and yes, you should have been expecting this much positive feedback. Unless you're modest, which is ok, but this is a really good piece of writing that expands upon one of the maybe(?) personalities of Derpy/Ditzy Doo. You're good and you should feel good. ![]()
(Twilight): "OH NO, WHAT'S THIS DOING IN THE LIBARY?!"
(Rainbow Dash): "BHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
(Rarity): "Such a gossip goldmine! oh, wait until the ladies at the spa hear this!"
(Derpy): "Hey guys, i-"
(Derpy): "Huh?"
(Twilight): "Derpy, we can explain."
(Derpy): "You read my dairy?"
(Twilight): "Derpy, we didn't mean too, we found this on a pile of books you left about Humpy Dumpy Donkey, and-"
(Derpy): "Was it fun to read?"

this was a really great story and i think that these are the type of stories that deserve publicity. They are sweet and innocent, like the characters they are about
Loved the sign off, Dorpy
sorry derpy, but i simply can't respect your privacy.... the request not to read was too much.
i am ashamed ![]()
YAAAAAAY positive light dashie![]()
and derpy as clumsy and having a relatively limited vocabulary with focus issues makes more sense than a stupid one
Derpy needs more love like this!
Dat drawing. I would commission her for done arts.
My good sir, I must thank you for sparking in me an incredible story idea. Not to mention, I find this story very moving and expertly done... I must also applaud you on your use of what I refer to as "Derpyisms."
You receive a gentleman Spike ![]()
Good show!
Ah, the sweet, surreal feeling of reading a 2000+ word pony story at 1 in the morning narrated with Baldumborat's voice in my head on a school night. ![]()
This. This right here is now my favorite fic ever. Why?
It isn't sad for the sole purpose of trying to become the next MLD.
It isn't gory for the sole purpose of trying to become the next cupcakes.
It isn't an idea that has been done millions of times before.
Well done. ![]()
D'awwww. I loved this! It was so heart-touching. You also played her off as being not so smart and kind of oblivious, yet showing that she is aware of everypony and what they are doing. It was adorably sad in my eyes. She really tries. This is definitely going in my faves. Good job!
Very good, a definate gold star story![]()
I loved the lined out mistakes, especially when she spelled "sophisticated" correctly but lined it out for "suffisticated."![]()
I noticed you have this marked as complete, too bad as I would like to see more of it.
What I can't understand is how 5 readers (as of now) have given this a thumbs down.![]()
I respect your opinion but must humbly disagree with you.
I found it to be cute and well done, even though not much of anything happened. Let's be honest here, not everyone's going to be able to write emotionally jarring stories or action-filled thrillers, so it's nice to just see somepony write a nice, lighthearted little note about a day in the life of Derpy.
This probably didn't change how you feel at all (it didn't), but I'm okay with that. Like I said, you're entitled to your own opinion.
It's [slice of life] which is basically an average day for a character, in which average things happen, averagely.
Your definition of boring is obviously not the same as everyone else's who commented. Congratulations on your hamfisted approach at nonconformity.
*ahem*
@Obselecence
I got the feeling, while reading, that there were things going on in the original scenes, that were slightly less sunshine and rainbows than she saw it, yet at the same time, she wasn't completely oblivious. The fact that I was able to imagine more than what was written is a testament to how aptly written it was.
What is interesting about this story, is that years in the future, when equologists are studying the culture of the past, and they find that diary, they'll probably learn more about society than from the collected works of recorded history of that time period. A diary is often more indicative of the values of a society than its official documented history, due to the lack of direct political bias over every comment. What can be learned from this entry...? An interesting thought...at least to me.
In any case, while I normally dislike [SoL] I enjoyed this thoroughly.

This story is rock solid. I enjoy reading it, and my niece loves reading along with me.
Thank you.
Moar please, if you have time?
