Hate to be nitpicky but in your description of the changeling you meant to say ebony not ivory. Just wanted you to know, I have to think of elder scrolls ebony blades to remember that myself.
Wouldn't "instrumental" fit better than "detrimental" there? Yen Sid makes it sound like Equestria is an important world to keep from the darkness, and a detriment is something that prevents or slows progress.
