another amazing chapter.  can't wait to see what happens!  but, shouldn't the doctor have realized that there's little chance of a paradox here since time is all wibbly wobbly?  like that time in "don't blink", the series 5 finale when rory told him he had to o back and tell past rory something or that other time when he met a past version of himself (think it was a christmas short with one of the old doctors).  anyways, can't wait!

well, it's already established that unlike his home universe, Equestria's timelines are not 'worn' by lots of time travelers, so the Reapers (the Dr. Who monsters, not the Mass Effect Bad Guys) are far more perceptive of violations of the time stream (See Traveler).  Paradoxes mostly happen when somepony breaks what the Doctor has dubbed 'Rule Number 2' in this incarnation and messes with their personal time-lines, like Rose Tyler did in the episode 'Father's Day'.  As I understand the 'multiple Doctor' episodes, each one indicated that those events were incredibly dangerous and only happened due to even greater threats forcing them to happen rather than the Doctor(s) wanting it to occur.

In the episodes you mention, Blink: Sally Sparrow didn't give the 10th Doctor many details, so no paradox was created, he just followed the instructions based on the transcript and everything 'clicked'. Sally did all the work.  The same method in 'The Lodger' (11th Doctor) when Amy was instructed to leave a short, vague note for the Doctor pointing out a wanted ad for a room mate. (If she had put in detail what WAS going to happen, it might have caused a paradox)

In the Big Bang 2, causing paradoxes wasn't really a big deal because the universe was already literally falling apart. to quote Rory in 'The Impossible Astronaut' when Amy comments how the Doctor's interfered in his own timeline before: " And to be fair, the universe DID blow up."

No, this is a branching continuity... but not the 'official' continuation of Squeak-Anon's Dr. Whooves series.

Squeak gave his blessing for this series, but I made it clear when I proposed it that my stories branch off from his after traveler on a completely separate path from 'his' Doctor. So while I have permission to use Traveler and Number 12 events as references, my stories will not in any way interact with future stories by Squeak-Anon nor shall any future installments of his continuity take events in mine into account.

I almost feel sorry for the Doctor when he got both barrels from Fluttershy.

Usually the Doc's ability to perceive fixed points in time and when time is in flux is enough to avoid most paradoxical screw ups. But then again this is a whole new reality of timey-wimeyness and he has been having a bad run of late with the whole not not messing up the timestream thing so perhaps he is right to be cautious.

Actually, Squeak-Anon's Doctor's Catchphrase is 'Onwards and Upwards'... which fits perfectly well with his interpretation.

While my stories do branch off of Number 12 and Traveler, my interpretation is meant to be a bit different as it's the 12th Doctor after he's finished 'cooking' and has begun to settle into his new personality, which has cooled and taken shape during the events of the past two episodes.

And if I may: "HI-HO PONIES!' (Hey, he's done worse)

Although I also like 'Geronimo' and 'ALLONS-Y!"

I've seen a few episodes a long time ago, but not any with rocs in them, so there was no influence. Just kind of the obvious joke I guess.

Have I mentioned that Applebloom is awesome?  Because she is.  I mean, strong enough to haul Zecora to Fluttershy's place, and loyal enough to disregard danger and attempt the rescue in the first place.

Still, there's three things that caught my attention:

1.) The Nightmare-esque smoke.

2.) The ash-filled clearing.

3.) The phoenix (or phoenix-like?) assist.

Consider my curiosity caught and my interest armed.  (And consider your time lost if you click that link to TvTropes!)

EDIT: Or was the roc made from the smoke?  In any case, I suspect know the answers will be revealed eventually.

Got a PM with this query, so thought I would throw this up just to make things clear.

"Equis" is the name of our beloved pony's home planet and "Equestria" is the nation of Ponies ruled by the Princesses Celestia and Luna, which by all rights is the global 'Super-Power'. "Zebrica" Refers not really to a nation, but more of a large 'environmental region' on another continent to which the Zebra are native.

In the future, I may include an 'Equis Atlas' post in my blog to give an idea of general setup for the world as I see it, but I got a question about my use of the name 'Equis' and realized I never properly explained it, so there we go. If anypony in the audience happens to be capable of making maps, please get in touch with me. I could use some artistic assistance in that department.

I see Twilight as being the 'Constant' Companion for the Doctor. Much like in MLP Season 1.... how she is the one learning lessons, she is the one who  has the greatest attachment and the most valuable role in the Doctor's life as well as chronicling the adventures in the TARDIS Journal . The other members of the Mane Six are along for the ride, but it falls to Twilight to understand what is truly happening.

In the future, there may be oneshots of the Doctor with other ponies going off on their own for something wacky or direct, but that will depend on continued reception.

Alright, well here are my predictions:

The Roc isn't some type of reaper, it's some kind of alien that The Doctor hasn't met yet.

The mountain tribe worship the giant spiders and plan to sacrifice Twilight to them.

The mountain tribe also want to drink the doctor's blood under the belief it will give them some type of power.

Fluttershy will get an unwilling Zecora to come with her and try and save the others.

All in All this was and incredible update I can't wait until there's more, which i'm guessing will be (at the very least) in 3 1/2 weeks
