You kinda lost me near the end...

Not going to lie.  I clicked on this because I thought the cover art showed that she had nunchucks for a cutie mark.

The ending confused the crap outta me. What you're saying is that she wanted to be RD so much that she actually became RD?

I'll say this, I'm not very good at being cryptic. (I blabber if people ask).

SPOILER? (Most likely)

Essentially, one day Scootaloo was being Scootaloo and went to the library because Rainbow Dash went there. During this time, she started to fall in love with Ponyville's residential librarian (for some ill conceived reason, life happens y'know?).

Anyway, Rainbow had always had a crush on Twilight but was too afraid to say anything, she felt it was better to be friends than pushing her limits. Once Rainbow had realized that Scootaloo and Twilight became an item, she became upset and lonely. After a while, of moping around and being reclusive from her friends, she started to become hollow and empty, wondering how come she couldn't get Twilight and even envying Scootaloo.

This 'envy' along with her fatal attempt at another Sonic Rainboom (washing away grief with ego), caused her to become clinically mental. After that event with Twilight (of all ponies) finding her in the forest, she ended up being in Twilight's hooves as much as she hated it. When she was being taken care of, she started to 'think' she was Scootaloo and the latter was 'Rainbow Dash'.

Think of it like this, "I'm the most awesome pony there is! I can't lose to anypony, ever! (But why did I lose someone I loved, then?)" It makes no sense in her mind then she thinks, "Rainbow Dash is awesome! She CANNOT lose...so I must be Scootaloo! And I lost to Rainbow Dash!"

Well, that basically sums it up (wordy, huh?). I hope that explains anyone's confusion. Also, I left hints throughout that said that she was actually the real one, especially the whole Scootaloo being replaced by Rainbow in the Cutie Mark Crusaders' friendship and other stuff.

Summary is basically another part of the story, this is a One-Shot, Alternative Chapter (that I could've gone with) of the real story. I didn't because I was afraid of the dreaded M-rating. (Hint: Probably would have ended in jailed Rainbow, scarred and r-ped Twilight.)

I'm giving this a thumbs up and a fave, if only for the Sixth Sense -like twist ending in the first chapter. Some of the things said, made perfect sense in retrospect, once you know that it's actually Rainbow Dash and not Scootaloo. Now I'm curious how Twilight and Scoots ended up together in the first place.
