The rejection was a bit harsh, honestly. Right after she’d said ‘no’ to the hopeful romantic, she immediately opted to assuage the pressing matter by mouthing the two words no prideful male would ever want to hear. ‘I’m sorry’…Those double-edge words, meant to be received as a polite, apologetic gesture but only taken as a staggering jab to the heart. Rainbow Dash had meant well; though her effort at easing the pain of her friend’s aching heart was misguided.

I'd like to continue delving more into this kind of situation. It's actually something I've experienced, in which I've had personal feelings for a friend, but there was the fear of things getting awkward as a result if she did not feel the same way. It was a risk, and I didn't do anything for what seemed the longest time. I ended up telling her, and fortunately it ended up working out well. But the constant deliberation was stressful, I'll admit.
I'd be interested to see what ya do with this.
