[REDACTED]

E

The duo decided to reflect on the events after the Ponyville Days festival with some cupcakes and light hearted talk.

Laughter emanated, sincere words were exchanged, and their friendship undoubtedly strengthened.

Then, Applejack suddenly remembered the argument that they had and wrapped off the duo's night with a simple question.

4247612 Thank you, I'm glad you think of it as such. :pinkiehappy:
I was worried, with it being a one-shot and just about 2,300~ words. :twilightblush:

"Sorry Bronies, But Your Rarijack is in Another Castle."

Stereotypical. (Just kidding :P)

Wow, excellent story, you really captured Rarity and AJ's friendship well, and the ending with Rainbow was funny too. :rainbowlaugh: Great job! :raritystarry:

4247833 *Ragequit like a 10 year old*
In all seriousness though, this wasn't meant to be Rarijack, I just wanted to point that out in the simplest way, cheesy or not :rainbowlaugh:

4248135 Thank you!
Fun Fact: I actually rewatched some episodes to refresh myself of how Rarity and Applejack's relationship worked, episodes like 'Simple Ways' and 'Look Before You Sleep'. :ajsmug:
*Dedication* :rainbowdetermined2:

The ending was suppose to reference a Spongebob episode actually, childish, right? XD

4248222

And with a certain amount of intentional irony?

4248232 I WILL CRUSH ALL OF YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS, RARIJACKERS, MWAHAHAHAHA :trollestia:

I just wanted to see if people would STILL take it as Rarijack even after my notes, and that's fine to me. :pinkiehappy: I support any ship anyways, but for this piece, I just wanted to mess around a bit with the fans. :yay:

4248243

I was just wondering, since that final note could be seen as a "all bronies are obsessed shippers" (with a wink) and thus somewhat stereotypical. Which is a bit funny, considering what the story is about. I am assuming that's intentional ^^

Aaaaaanyway, twas an ok read. The "that was a couple of generations ago" joke was appreciated.

4248268 *Generation pun intended to the MAAAAX* :rainbowlaugh:
I'm relieved that you and many others seem to like this story that I cooked up. :derpytongue2:
It's also amazing to me that this hasn't rubbed off people in the wrong way yet. :pinkiegasp:
Although I would also appreciate some tips and criticism.:ajsmug:
I DON'T HAVE BOTH AN EDITOR AND A PROOFREADER FOR PETE'S SAKE! :twilightoops:

Hmm. This is a hard story to give critique for. Its not as random as some stories, and there is an obvious attempt at a message in there. From a technical viewpoint there isn't much to say, as far as I can tell the writing is solid there. As far as the story goes, its a one shot and a bit tongue-in-cheek. I found it an ok read, but its not something I would read a second time, or something that lingers in the mind. But the way its written, I'd say its not supposed to be. It's not really anything special, but it's hard to say what to do to make it special, since it's not really meant to be special in my eyes.

I don't think you're really trying to tell a meaningful story here, either to simply entertain or to make the reader think or confront something. You're giving a message, but the message is more important than the story. If it was the other way around it would be easier to provide constructive criticism. As it is, I simply think the story does its job. *Shrugs*

Rarity is canon in other generations as well. Same with Scootaloo.

4248330 Well said indeed.
It IS tagged comedy for a reason, so yes, it ended being a one off with light humor.
I agree as it not being a special piece. In the end, I purposely wrote this to be something that (I hope) people can have a good chuckle. Heck, the lesson is only meant to be digested for those who really want to think about it. :unsuresweetie:

Although I could take a shot at more mature issues... :duck:

4248387 Thanks for the information, but I know that Scootaloo is also a running character. She isn't part of the mane 6 however, as how Rarity has stated 'the four of you' and 'the two of us'.

As for Rarity being in other generations, the 'embodiment' of Rarity is indeed there, but not the actual Rarity herself. Applejack was called Applejack throughout her many generation reincarnates, meaning that Applejack herself was in other generations too. To put it in a nutshell, there was no pony in the mane 6 before G4 named Rarity. That is all and thank you

4248416
One question, then... Who is this?

4249076 Ack! Why must you bring up the movies. :pinkiecrazy::twilightblush:
But yeah, I dug in deeper into this and turns out that she only appeared as a one off character in The Chrystal Princess movie, her only apperance as 'Rarity'. Although That 'Rarity' isn't the Rarity we know, i.e. being in the mane 6. While the others have more prominent roles throughout the generations.

I'll fact check better next time please don't hate me.:fluttercry:

4250531
No hate. Just letting you know. I saw it on Netflix and thought you should know.

4251445 Yeah, thanks for that, I truly appreciate the clarity.
*EGGHEAD* :rainbowlaugh:
I SHALL BURN YOU TO THE DEPTHS OF TARTARUS AND BEYOND :flutterrage: *Ahem* No worries. :pinkiecrazy:
(Although to be frank, I brushed off the movie thinking that it was just a one off thing, and I felt that the whole joke would be ruined if I added that. :twilightblush:)

Whose bright idea was it to first come to the conclusion that significant couples had to combine parts of their names together anyway?
I don't call my grandparents "Maxargaret" after all.
...
Anyway, I digress. This was a nice, little fun read after a weary day. Thank you.

4251910 Well friend, ask the ones who thought of it first :rainbowlaugh:
I personally think it's because of their unity being together and such.
It also works on polyamory so I can't complain.
And maybe the fact that the name just kinda rolls off the tongue easier. :duck:
Nevertheless, I'm genuinely glad that you liked my story. I had a fun time writing it. :pinkiehappy:

4251466
:moustache:
However you like to play your hand, good sir.

I like the witty back and forth here. It's exactly the type of conversation real friends would have.

4372539
Thank you kindly. :pinkiehappy:
That was pretty much what I had in mind when I wrote this little story here.

Very nicely done. This is a really unique take on what a lot of folks probably simply overlooked in that episode. I love seeing stories that take small bits o the show and expand it so beautifully.

Bravo.

5756898 I'm really glad you liked it. :pinkiehappy:
Slice of life stories seem very appealing to me, sometimes we should sit back and relax with some one-on-one friend to friend stories.
