Sight Watcher

T
Source

Almost a year after the events of “Griffon the Brush Off” Gilda still laments over the events which ended her relationship with Rainbow Dash. After a brush with Discord the realization that life is passing her by compels her to go on a dangerous journey alone in the hope that it will allowed her to finally achieve a definitive win over Rainbow Dash in competition. Meanwhile strange events across Equestria begin to create tension between griffon and pony governments, threatening to open up old conflicts that were thought to be forgotten.

Gilda life and griffon society in Equestria at large are explored in great detail as Gilda is guided on a path that will ultimately reunite her with the only pony she ever cared about.

Wow.... Awesome start!
Tracking this... can't wait for more ;):coolphoto:

382144 Thank you! With all the work I put into these first two chapters I'm happy someone likes it!

Quality, length, engaging characters, points of view, etc.
Well done
Team Gilda!

Great chapter, I'm always somewhat of a sucker for Gilda stories but this one is exceptionally well written, keep it up

I have to say this is one of the best Gilda and/or Griffon centric stories I've come across. So far all you major characters are well developed (even the one who fell into a more antagonistic role last chapter), the world is being fleshed out nicely, and is Gilda actually written like a believable person that the audience cares about. Your of depiction Griffons as a species is excellently dynamic (seriously do you know how hard it is to find a story were Griffons and/or Gilda are written good let alone one were they are NOT depicted by the author as ridiculously hamhandedly evil and/or as petty baby strangling maniacs?).

The descriptive writing is also strikingly poetic. When describing Altaiville the reader gets the impression of a place stuck in the moment, that still hasn't caught up to the rest of the world for all the good and ill that implies.

438986 Thank you very much! I am so happy to see that the underlying ideas/themes beneath my story are being noticed by readers!

I really appreciate this valuable feedback!

438017 Happy to hear you're enjoying it!

man that was heavy right there

439756 the emotional stress discord is putting on Gilda is simply curl and brilliant
the psychological aspects that are brought in to play are wonderful, you clearly set up the emotional back drop that lead to her to fall when put under stress, with pressure put on by her parents history as great fliers only to be outdone by one of her few and best friends then to be in a better word replace and with the elements of harmony would lead to her withdrawing within her self for feeling replaced :ajsleepy:
i hope you like my explanation :twilightblush:

440083 Ah I got you! I just like hearing when/what I'm doing right in a story so that I know what readers are invested in and so I can gauge what doesn't work or needs to be refined some more :twilightsheepish:

Thanks a lot for reading and for answering my question!

any time time and keep righting

Well, it's been a fair while since the last update of this, and I'm hoping you aren't dead or anything :twilightsheepish:

Just want to say how much I like this, and that I can't wait for the next chapter :moustache:

i don' think the authors ever coming back... :fluttershysad:

 finally a fanfiction that doesn't make Gilda a crying, remorseful who needs to be redeemed. She didn't do much wrong, Pinkie :ajbemused: how were at all a good person, anyway this was a wonderful fic for an awesome character.

Deep down you’re just a chick crying for mommy and daddy
