Interesting. I like it! Well-written, although I think with a beta/pre-reader it could be much better. The story has a nice pacing, but I must ask.

What of Alphonse's weapons and armor? At the start, we see them banished to whatever dark hole all items go to when they get looted. Will we see them again and, hopefully, in more detail in the next chapter?

In terms of the armor and runeblade, yes you will definitely see them again. I added summoning and dismissing of armor as an easy mechanic because I'm lazy and would hate to describe Alphonse having to take his armor off as to not scare the locals.

In terms of the Vampire thing, that's a little personal touch I've added to the cannon DK for this fic. At first I thought it might not work, but as I wrote the storyline overview, I found that it fits quite well. I got the idea originally from the Blood talent [Vampiric Blood]. I put it in the description, but I'll add it to the story in an authors note too. I'll make you like it, I promise. hehe

Twilight's reactions are intentional and I'm monitoring it closely to ensure it fits the plot without being OOC.

I have to agree with Urdreth, having them all turn would be a bit of an exaggeration, as it would remove a lot of the friendship elements I set out to draw on when I decided to write this fic. (Like supporting a friend in need, even though you can't physically relate to what they're going through, etc)

Originally I had planned the story's first few chapters before I wrote anything solid, but during chapter 2's writing (in which I changed a lot of ideas and essentially rewrote the last half twice) I realized I preferred taking the story's plot one chapter at a time.

So, what I mean to say is I really have no idea in regards to whether or not any ponies will be turned in the future.

I'm going to answer this in human terms; I don't honestly know a whole lot about pony anatomy when it comes to this stuff. Do the mental math if you want to turn it into pony numbers.

"How much blood does a vampire drink each time?" - Will add that to the FAQ. The answer is between one half to one pint of blood per day, assuming there has been no serious damage taken and/or the vampire hasn't over-exerted themselves. Each day 'stacks' on the next, meaning if you go for three days without blood, you need approximately 1.5 to 3 pints of blood to become fully sated again.

"Does drinking something's blood kill it?" Depends on whether or not the vampire leave's enough blood for the victim to survive, I suppose.

I spent about 20 minutes researching the math behind human blood regeneration, how much it can lose, etc; being a software engie I usually like to have my numbers correct. But, after reading my long-winded reply back to myself, I've decided to not count the numbers too closely, preferably not at all. I think it would interrupt the creative flow of the story if I had to count every pint a vampire drinks.

But, I will ensure it's realistic within the bounds of realisticness, to keep the story containing rainbow coloured ponies and death knights realistic.
