Sombra finds himself locked away in the north. It was the only way to save the kingdom he loved. But he can't be alone with his thoughts. He's haunted by the reason it all happened, and he can't escape. Today will change everything, even if he wishes none of this had ever happened. Because he'll have to face an enemy he wished he never had. One that he loves. But sometimes even blood isn't a strong enough bond to keep ponies together.
Takes place after Sombra's first defeat and the Crystal Empire's disappearance.

I will admit, I am disappointed to see it end. I would have liked to learn more about Sombra and his brother.
4026175 Now that I think about it, there's a lot I could do with this story. I am going to continue it after the contest, so keep an eye out. It'll be a while, though. The judging is supposed to take 2-4 weeks, and I can't add to it before then because there's a limit of 3,000 words. But as soon as that's over, I'll be sure to continue the story.
