I don't claim to be an expert on crystal ponies, but I thought they were just regular ponies (mostly earth ponies) who happened to live in the Crystal Empire, not a different race. They only looked crystal-y and translucent when the Crystal Heart was activated -- and it effected all ponies nearby. (Remember Rarity's reaction when she went all sparkly?) But maybe I missed something there, I dunno?

3896340 They are crystal all the time, they have that "crystal-heart thing" that keeps them crystal, so there really easy to distinguish, even for a changeling.

Three important indicators: Even dull, they have more refined manestyles. Two, even dull the white spots (light reflections) on their eyes are polygon shaped instead of round. Third, if you notice throughout the show (Like with the guard (Not Flash) that shows up with the train in Three's A Crowd), Crystal Ponies that appear outside the empire after the defeat of Sombra are quite sparkly.

I admit I was a little bit skeptical at first, but this was nice. I'm glad I took the time to give it a shot. :)
Whilst I was fine with what had already been done in the first batch of stories, I do enjoy what you're doing with the new ones. This is more fleshed out, and I suppose it's easier to justify writing more for each changeling's circumstances if they're in separate stories.
Plus, y'know, shipping. Shipping is fun.

I really like this and where it is going, but I feel you ended the Slendermane sub-plot a bit too early. You could have had him making that mare regret her decision of leaving Honey and her father, but leave her open to possible redemption. You really could have done something there.
