When I was a young lad I had this horrible dream that shook me to my core. . . but for some reason I felt giddy, excited and even anxious for the dream to continue.

I was in this gigantic battlefield, corpses of friend and foe decorated the floor and walls of the abandoned city; I had no idea what was going on in the dream, but I felt this....this rush, this feeling of superiority of being empowered each time I killed an enemy.
Out of the blue I and the rest of the "people" I was fighting with were in this big building, the screams of agony would echo throughout the building like a choir you hear when you go to church on a Sunday morning. They all begged for one god or another to put an end to their pain, to their misery.

A small man came into a little podium, his so called speech I will never forget

"Good evening gentlemen, I would like to offer some words with each and everyone one of you. We all know that war is a horrible thing that no man should ever have to go through, the possibility of dying in a war is normal and for that we have to be cautious and careful of where we step and where we enter for it might be the last thing we do.

But now imagine the spoils of war, we can now enjoy the land of our defeated enemies as their wifes, sisters end daughters are begging to us do we "pop their cherry", we can now expand our godforsaken land and make our empire something to truly be proud of being part of.
We can now gain so much pleasure as those who surrendered in the battlefield think that we are nothing but ordinary human beings. The reason that each and everyone one of us is a mercenary is because we put the excuse of needing money to fight some else's fight, just because a man can't be considered a man if he says that he loves going to war, we will kill, plunder and eradicate entire cities and communities for mere pocket change, I say unto you my brothers in arms who are you?
Are you a weeping child who's having a bad dream, and hopes that either mommy or daddy will come and wake you up from this bad dream?
Or are you savages who simply can't get enough violence, enough bloodshed, enough war that we go from battlefield unto battlefield just to satiate this thirst for blood and misery that God himself granted into each and everyone of you.
Maybe heaven might be out of our reach for we have killed so many innocents, deflowered so many women and slaughtered so many men that we can simply call ourselves devils if we pleased, we simply can't deny the fact that overwhelming feeling when we kill another man, do you hear that call? It's in our veins, in our very own blood! We simply can't get enough of this feeling and when this war is over we must continue to push onward and find even more wars! What shall we do my brothers and sisters in arms! Shall we continue to wait until death reaches us!? Or die with our weapons in hand while our enemies lay dead before us!? Today we shall enjoy this war and if we die, then Valhalla will await us with open arms!"

Sadly my aunt grabbed a bucket of water and spilled it all over me....I don't like being woken up like that

3888549 I had a dream like that. The speaker was a duck.

Interesting story. I'll have to read more later.

Just saw the new coverpage. :rainbowderp: Holy shit, don't piss off Silent!

YAY! Free changelings!:pinkiehappy:

Loved this chapter. It's interesting to see someone fangirling over Rainbow Dash. Gives her a taste of her own medicine.

The seeds of rebellion have been sowed. Now lets see how well they grow.

So this is the third book in the series? It sounds like it's another story altogether. Please Clarify:facehoof:

Flamespyre needs a worst dad cup.

Laugh while you can, Flamespyre. Chrysalis keeps her promises. And she will keep this one.

Aww, you should continue this, I want to finally see Flamespyre taken down a limb or several.
