A ninja is powerful yet fragile. Quick but deliberate. When a ninja receives an Irezumi tattoo from a strange desert plant, to kill those who attacked his clan, he starts to slowly go mad. In the end, he committed suicide to end his madness. However, when he died, he is sent to a strange world inhabited by talking ponies. Now, he must go on a journey to find a way to control his madness. Little does he know that there is a new evil lurking in the shadows...

Pulling off a story based on the plot of Mark of the Ninja is a quite problematic task, as the whole story is MEANT to be somewhat ambiguous, the author of the game even admitted it in the special editions comments
Also his madness caused by the tattoos has nearly completely degenerated his conscious persona, at the end of the game, and even a little before that, you can clearly see strange figures in the sky, particularly at the end of the game he can't even recognize his "brothers" any more, seeing enemies and solid shadows everywhere
If you want to make a good story, all these issues need to be confronted and explained in a way that make sense, loosely speaking of course, not an easy task really, not without falling in common cliché that would make the story boring at best...

I've been recently busy with college right now, but now that you mention it, if I am going to bring back this, I may need to write some chapters and do other stuff to revamp this thing.

why are there so few fanfictions for mark of the ninja? this is only the second I've out of the three different fanfiction websites I've checked, amd the other was even shorter!

Nowadays, crossovers of games, that most people are unaware of, just don't make the cut.
That's why I gave up on this.
That and I had no idea where I was going with this.
