Ok, certainly interesting. We don't usually do the anthropomorphic scene, since we kinda know the characters in their original forms, but this is ok. I'm just going to be assuming the extreme specifics aren't the same, and obviously it's different.
Gel makes a fun spy. Even though she's outwardly against appearing sexually forward, it seems she's naturally doing so (perhaps getting into the role?), how this will fit in with Rhino will be fun.

Anyways, I'm a little concerned that Gel doesn't seem to be putting two together, she was part of the promise after all, right? Then again, her big -word problem is worrisome as well, she's clearly not stupid but something may be going on there...
We're thinking that if there is a changeling section in the biology book, that may be a good time for the great reveal.

4322179 Well I like Rhino (the character), and I am curious, is he a self insert or something?
4322193 It depends on how you think of it. Rhino is my primary and my first OC. Originally, he was mostly based on me so I guess he was a bit of a self-insert. However, as time has gone on, he has sort of come into his own. While it remains true that he and I are similar in many ways due to him being based off me, we would each be our same person if we were to be put into the same room. Based on background, location, culture, you really can make quite the difference in a character even if you start from the same template.
So in a sense... sort of. He is not me, he is similar to me. If asked what he would do, I would think about what he would do, not what I would do.
4322218 So he is a self insert that was transformed into his own character.
That explains why he has such a developed personality and all of that. Most OCs are not quite so developed, which tends to make them fall flat. A good self insert (the kind that isn't a gary stu or mary sue) that has changed with time will generally have more personality and such.
4322252 Right. It still feels very natural to write for him, but I still find it very interesting to try and see how he would react to things. I'm not ashamed at all that he started as a self-insert, but I am proud that he rose above that.
4322267 And you shouldn't be ashamed. The best OCs always start as a self insert, then evolve over time.
Sadly my changeling OC won't be evolving anytime soon as I am not that good of writer...
4322283 I suggest trying to either get him in other stories, write with friends, or just work a little bit at a time. Maybe do a one shot, simple things that get you to think about them more.

Now that she basically has confirmation beyond reasonable doubt, will she start dropping more hints of her true identity? For some reason we're finding it difficult to predict this, since she's already in hot water over mission-jeopardizing events and it's also unlikely he'll make the connection while she's disguised like so....
Still, fun times ahead! Unless they're not, this night's setup really could go either way at this point.

Since reading your alternate path and sequel fic I went to read some other stuff and i come back to find this here.... It's different from the others, I like the new spin you've put on Gelatin's attitude in this one, but kept others the same. And oh my god.... She's such a tease in this one, i like ut a lot

Wonder if it will be anything like the last story... Actually knowing you Rhino, you'll make it really different but keep certain aspects like you have so far, can't wait!
