Rainbow Dash decides to delve into the depths of expression through emphatic embraces with her friends, because hugging is magic. If it just so happens that Applejack seems to be the superior snuggler, well, who is Dash to turn down a challenge?
The actual story contains a lot less obnoxious assonance than the title, but c'mon, doesn't it just roll right off the tongue?

Okay, this may sound rather rude, but I mean no offense by it. It's just something that slightly bothers me, so I'll just get it out of the way before anything else.
Technically, the title isn't using alliteration, but rather, assonance.
Alliteration is when the same letter is at the beginning of the majority of the words, like if I said, "So Sea Swirl is selling seashells soon? That's so stupendously super."
Assonance is when the sound being repeated is within the word, and is predominantly a vowel sound. Like if I were to say, "Despite Twilight's plight, she had frightening might."
So you see, the story's title is, in fact, assonance, not alliteration. The chapter title's alliteration though.
Okay, turning off the grammar nitpicker in my brain now.
This story, so far, is somewhat adorable, with wonderful humor. Now, while I say somewhat adorable, I fully expect it to reach the levels of cute associated with certain individual ponies such as Fluttershy or Sweetie Belle. Why? Because it's an AppleDash story about Rainbow Dash going on a quest for snuggles. She even calls them snuggles. And Rainbow Dash is possibly one of the single most adorable ponies there is when it comes to her interaction with objects of her affection. And as for the humor, I now fully expect it to become a running joke for Rainbow Dash to use Twilight's name in vain in increasingly creative and colorful ways. Really, that bit was brilliant.
To summarize, this story is wonderful, fantastic, terrific, and all those other good things. Keep up the great work!

I knew people were going to catch me for that alliteration/assonance thing! I even debated mentally about changing it, too, but then decided against it. I just used alliteration as a (totally incorrect) blanket term for all the similar sounds I use throughout the story/chapter titles and story description, because I'm immature and think it sounds better than assonance (snnkt, ass) and hoped no one would notice. Thank you for calling me on it, though - grammatical accuracy should trump my childish brain.

Like the headcannon. I really like stories about cuddling and similar forms of physical affection. Now, I generally prefer platonic rather than romantic ones, but that is a slight preference. This is all because I am very much into platonic hugs, cuddling, and snuggling IRL. Sadly, I don't know many other people who are the same way that I am comfortable with and they comfortable with me

Hugs are great, in stories or in real life. I know at my school they bring in therapy dogs for people to go snuggle and pet when they're stressed, and it works wonders. Plus, dogs are always happy to snuggle, even if there aren't any huggy people around.
