Which kinda implies that the dragon that basically killed him before she came back to like also basically raped her and left her pregnant.
And, not surprisingly, Spike's (my mistake, Spines') is in an emotional wreck, poor girl. This is definitely not the proper time for Twilight to go all nerd/bookworm trying to find out what and why this happened---now is the time for her to sit down and comfort her new sister and mother-to-be.
And as an affont to the next chapter, Rarity does need to go easy on Spines. It's not every day that somepony wakes up and realizes that she's a female. So no gossip, no putting people down, no nothing. Often times, Miss Marshmellow tends to do things that makes things that are already testy a bit worse. Think about where she's coming from.
That's a lot of fucks for a baby dragon at the start there.

Yeah, part of the problem is that I've had to change my original plan of releasing the first three chapters at once, which has some of the answers to what's happened and why he's acting differently. I released this chapter now because of just how long it was taking to get the next two done, hence some mistakes and other plot problems.
I'll be doing my best to address them in the meantime, thanks for being patient.
