Too bad this story's so short; I'd like to see what happens next, where spike goes, the reactions of the rest of the 6. It be awsome If you'd expand this Fic. I'd certianly read it.

Another greatly written story!

I really like the idea you came up with for dragons who don't indulge in greed naturally getting apathetic as they grow older. It kind of explains/justifies the stereotype as to why mainly all dragons in FIM aside from Spike -- heck, most dragons in general fantasy fiction -- are something to be disliked. As tragic as it is to see Spike sensitive to his friends' needs no longer, some of his claims do have validity, as he is sort of used by the other ponies now and then in the show.
