Everyone has their secrets. Everyone has their regrets. Everyone has made their mistakes, both small and large. Everyone has something that they simply want to forget. Something that they want to hide.
Always the curious one, Twilight discovers the hard way that certain things are hidden for a reason.
Wow, that was amazing. I admit there were some very minor grammar mistakes but none that took away from the impact of a well woven tale. In my mind you captured both Twilight and Celestia perfectly. Great job!
LOVED IT!!
Sequel?
This is really touching.
I'm glad that you all are liking this so far.

I can't say that I have one planned, sorry. But if an idea does come to mind, I'll consider it.
3597742 Okay...
I think Celestia has lots of horrible things in the past. Can't live that long with making lots of mistakes.
Hasbro should make this an episode.
i gotta admit, this was a good one. Celestia forced to face one of her many mistakes in her old life............ well done.
Bloody brilliant.
Well, that certainly carried some weight.
Nice job with how you played Celestia and Twilight.

Very nice story : ) In addition to the stated theme of 'don't kill for vengance', this lesson has some other, less palitable takeaways:
If you suffered a surprise attack, you need more and better intelligence
If your aponent takes lives, you need to be better at killing
You did a nice job of working on the one without getting bogged down in the other two. The characters felt very true to canon, and it was a pleasure to read.
That's every parent and every teacher's dream. That one day, their student will surpass them and do things they could never even dream of.
