Wonderfully original and beautifully written. You gave so much life to these two minor characters, I was truly invested and immersed in the story from start to finish. This is exactly what a one-shot should be...

Well... this was good. I need a picture of a flock of owls fighting a swarm of serpentflies in the air of everfree with Philomena lying battered in the mud and looking up at it. Yes. That would be EPIC.

EDIT: Could have been longer though... this is good short but it would have been epic if it was longer, and/or had a sequel.
Um, you do know that owls are hunters, right?
It's a good idea, very unique and nice to read. I think some of the descriptors could have been phrased more smoothly (like looking up what a group of owls is, instead of comparing them to crows) but it was fun, especially the part at the end with Luna.
My personal review.

Well this was certainly a pretty interesting story and a very cute one so owlicious was basically keeping himself busy in the night even reading a couple of books like Twilight but then there was some commotion going on then the Phoenix showed up but it's not just any Phoenix it was Philomena and apparently she's up to her old tricks Again by messing with the owl and it looks like he gave Chase to her throughout that he figured out to outsmart her despite his size which Philomena was pretty impressed even taking a liking in him she even gave him a quick Peck before she left and she was about to check out the old castle until a couple of flying predators attacking her and despite her power she still get overwhelmed by numbers of predators then owlicious heard the noise and rushed to rescue her from the Predators and once again he proved that he can take care of these guys despite he lived here and Philomena was so badly injured she thought this was the end of her even though she has to be rebirth again but then owlicious use the feather to summon his Pals but before she could see what's going on She fainted but woken up and making full recovery thanks to Zecora and it looks like owlicious was basically waiting for her making sure that she was okay which again that was nice of him to do she was about to head home but then deciding to bring a friend along and despite Princess Luna try to tell the Phoenix not to bring in other animals here especially Twilight's pet Philomena bagged Luna if he can stay here with her and she tried to resist her sad luck but failed and it looks like owlicious will be more welcome here for a while like I said this was a pretty cute one keep up the good work
