I'm deeply interested in this story and cant wait to read more like this in the future.

Added the story to a couple other appropriate folders in the Transgender Bronies group.

Going to add it to the list of trans pony stories I have compiled on my userpage (there are a ton, both on FimFiction and off, for those who are interested).

I was able to feel what Hearth Fire was feeling pretty well. I mean, it kind of helps I have gone and am going through similar stuff (though, I am nowhere near as good with body language and stuff as she), but still. I had a feeling Rarity was going to be a help, but oh yes, would I be scared too. Sounds like Hearth has a nice coltfriend. Oh, and I so totally understand her not exactly being able to spill just how much she knows on a subject due to others wondering, and therefore having to lie her way through things. Been there way too many times, and continue to do so (now days, it is the opposite direction of explaining "yes, I am a girl and I played american football when I was younger").

Yay, another chapter! :yay:

More seriously, now. I think Gleam figured Hearth out, almost for sure, though maybe only figured out one piece (she's trans, but didn't figure out that she the pony with the alias Kindling). The scene with Flash and Midnight was a bit confusing at first. Maybe I missed something earlier, but I didn't realize Silver and them were friends too. I liked Silver's little save. Completely truthful, just not the whole truth. I can say that I have said so so many of those in y time knowing that I was trans.

I'm really enjoying this story up to now. I have a couple of questions:

Will we get to read a background story on Silver Wind and how he happened to meet Hearth?

Will you at some point "go back" and show some of the scenes (such as Silver and Flash talking about that), just to fill in a few gaps?

I can't fault what I have read, all I have to really say is again I look forward to reading the next chapters and seeing where you go with this story.

This chapter was an interesting angle, looking at the current decision point from Silver's point of view while looking into the past.

I like this story very much.
Reminds me of my own in so many aspects except that I've never dared to dress up... which is going to change.
I also read Reignite and Distant Worlds: Shards of Harmony, and loved them as well.
I do hope you continue all of them since it's just a pain to be stuck and not know how it continues. Sometimes when i'm at the end of a series so far I am in half of a mind to continue writing it on my own - but that would be disrespectful since I could never carry it on in the same way..
Well maybe there comes a time when I find a really good story that is unfinished that does'nt look like it's ever going to be continued :)

Keep up your fabulous work!

Don't worry all my stories will be finished  I'm not the type of person who leaves things half done.

This story is very cute. I can't wait to read the next chapter ^_^

I want that spell, well, mostly. There are some parts of my rather masculine build that I might not otherwise have that i am glad I have.

This chapter changes tenses and viewpoints so many times. Otherwise this is a very enjoyable fic. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for updating, this is a fic that I've been really enjoying and am looking forward to more updates!

Another good chapter to a fanfiction story that I have been really getting into. I like the character concepts you have come up with regards to your own OC's. You got Rarity and Cheerilee correct in regards to how they would react in terms of personality. The plot overall is interesting and I honestly look forward to reading more on Hearth's journey. I love the interaction between Hearth and Silver and they make a damned good couple. I have nothing negative to say this story what so ever.

I await the updates to this cool story and I still will not change my opinion to Midnight Gleam (she is still a witch). I want to hit Flash so damned hard, that is not the way to be a friend to somepony.

Keep up the awesome work as always silent. :yay:

-Frost

Finally caught up and read the two new chapters. I have been away for a while, as you can see. I really enjoyed them. I can kind of relate to Hearth Fire. It is really hard to contain anger in those situations, and anger can out oneself.

Glad to see you didn't forget this fic, looking forward to future updates.

Noticed this

“Days, then weeks went by and I couldn't get that feeling out of my head.”

Noticed this too

“Why would my brother be in a boutique?”

Bright Spark looked on in awe at some of the designs.

Furthermore I'm ecstatic that this is still alive, I love this fic! It is very good. :pinkiehappy:
Would more regular updates be a possibility?

thanks for letting me know, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story. And yes more updates to come :D

Yay, can't Wait. It took me a while to get to reading this... but I love it! What luck I remember you followed me, have a follow back. I find it funny you liked my story of a transmare and I like yours.

Re-reading is quite pleasant now that it is aliiiiiiiive~

An open mind brings warmth~

Flash is an idiot, sadly. Now nearing the new content~

Awwwwww, so pleasant to be accepted. This seems to bode well.
Shining bright with warmth,
leaving past for present joy,
you dream blissfully.

We shall read on.

Time for sisterly bonding! Yay!

Breaking dawn from the night prior,
simple ways to grow
and bloom profuse.
A bright future surely awaits—
if you can grasp hope,
if you can embrace this warmth.
You need only that
which can produce such peace,
such comfort in the cold night.

Awaiting further releases.:fluttershysad:

This is a sequel, right? If it is, then where can I find the previous story?

Actually this is the original story.

Will Sweetie Belle play a role, or at least appear in this story?

6807561
Of course she will, did you really think I'd include Rarity and not include her sister as well?

Omfg I laughed so hard at the end.

Also great chapter as always! :)

"H-Hey what did I do?" Midnight stammered out embarrassed.

"Bright Spark apparently." Silver Wind deadpanned.

No, I'm out of chapters!
This is freaking FUNNY. Doing that exact thing that Hearth Fire did with her mother is a recurring fantasy of mine. Not with my parents necessarily, but with anyone. I find something thrilling and hopeful in the idea that someday they won't recognize me.
And I really appreciate how difficult this must be for Wayward Spark. She's probably having a really tough time, between her husband leaving her and trying to accept her children despite that she once didn't morally agree with who they are. And finding out your daughter's a lesbian by meeting her new fillyfriend has to come as a bit of a shock for somepony like that. I like stories like this, because reading about homophobic characters who aren't villainous helps prevent us from automatically demonizing the homophobes we meet in our real lives. I know I need the reminder; I go on the defensive if someone even says they're Christian. It's wrong and I know it, but the fear comes anyway. Just something I need to work on.

i need more i have so many feels for this fic!

~ I'm not trying to demonize Christians when I say this, but I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing to be cautious when someone makes a point of their religion around people like us. We're still murdered in great numbers all around the world, and lesser intolerances can really add up :pinkiesad2:

You might want to consider a synopsis with a better "hook".

As is, it's so similar to what bad authors write on Fanfiction.net that, if I hadn't found it via the "Also Liked" sidebar, I'd just have skipped over it without giving it a second thought.

(Characters finding out who they truely are or revealing a big secret to friends and family occur as side-effects of the focus of a story and with great frequency. Making that your hook is like saying "The Mane Six go on an adventure" as your synopsis and not elaborating.)

The job of the synopsis is to make a story stand out among the crowd enough to prompt a reader to try the first chapter... and being that vague is the opposite of standing out.

Since I came here through the "Also Liked" sidebar, there was enough interest presupposed for me to try to infer what noteworthy detail the story is built around by looking at the "Also Liked" and the "Featured In" sidebars.

(And, since I've concluded that the main character's secret is probably that she's transgendered, it's earned enough interest from me to find a place on my "Read it Later" list... it's not my "Read it Sooner" list, but that's the best I can do with so little to go on... also note that, these days, I tend to only dip into the 1300+ entries in Read it Later when I'm searching for specific tags and the 400+ entries in Read it Sooner come up empty.)

Any plans to continue this?
The writing has definitely improved since chapter 1, and I'm interested to see where this goes.

Good girl, Midnight! Way to be supportive! (At least hopefully she keeps Hearth's secret...)

I'm glad I was able to read what you were able to create, Silent... I hope everything is okay in your life! ☺

I absolutely love this story and want more

NIce story, i just hope it will continue some day :)

“In other words Kindling Spark here has finally decided to show her true colours.”

Her? Maybe he’s not as transphobic as we think…
