Nope. (At least not in this installment. It'll be made clear later that the CMC and Spike are just at legal age, but Noir II and Noir III will take place further along. I doubt seriously that there's even going to be any explicit sex; the convention of Noir is the fade-to-black after the kiss.)

Well, this certainly looks promising. Haven't come across a pony noir fic this well-written and interesting since Starlight Over Detrot. You've certainly got my upvote and fave; looking forward to how this story plays out.
I like this setting. And how the Mane6, or four of them so far, changed due the princesses being dead since a thousand years which means Unicorns still need to raise sun and moon, weatherponies are busy enforcing law besides weather and earth ponies like AJ are "filthy rich". XD
Now here's to hope that Twi's "charm" as a "Ladies mare" will get her not only PInkie, but a couple more cute women, like Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, maybe even Applejack when she wants to show Twi her "private thanks" for saving her big bro. That and a couple other mares on the side, just for fun~ <3

I'm glad you liked it. (I worried about Twilight's tone in this, well, constantly.)
I felt like she'd be more canny than academic in this universe, at least outwardly, but she's no less intelligent. It's just not going to show as much until she starts analyzing actual clues, which will start in chapter two.
Chapter one was all about getting the world set and most of the major players laid out.
I'm liking it so far, the universe, the dialogue that dark feeling of Noir-ness that many noir fics just fail to achieve. You have surmounted many of my expectations, and I expect you to keep doing so.
The only thing that bothered me was how OOC Twilight was. Although that can be given a pass because in a world where everything is not sunshine and rainbows, some real character development may occur. Especially when Twilight herself doesn't have Celestia to guide her on the path of said sunshine and rainbows.

My thinking was that she didn't have the luxury of pure academic pursuits, so she actually has a better grasp of how ponies behave than the Twilight in the show. (Also, although it's not really gotten into much, she's older.)
I'm glad it's enjoyable despite the seemingly OOC stuff. The character differences were a big part of why I set it AU, honestly. It had to be a twisted world that made Twilight Sparkle a jaded detective.
Into my favorites you go!
