Really liked the premise. Enjoyed the first half too, in a Scanner Darkly kind of way. Good job!
Once the sex stuff awkwardly pushed its way in it went downhill pretty fast, and I was really hoping for an ending a little better than 'then they both turned into ponies and it was perfect.' Still, the drug idea was good!

To be completely honest I know of one story that is based off the original, maybe a few that make allusions to it
I've been enjoying this story, just as I enjoyed the prequel.

I would also take the time to point out a small detail here. 'Think on' seems less then correct grammar for English? On the occasion, I was pondering if there was a better way of wording it?

I've been dried out on pon-e idea's for quite sometime. But, to my knowledge a story called Pon-e:Bust exists by an accquaintance of mine.
from where the story ended, there is a natural continuation.
I may consider looking into this too, just to read up on the situation.
