"Wahoo! My prayers have been answered!"

Rainbow Dash always prayed whenever she could, but hardly considered herself a user of passionate prayer. The only thing Dash ever showed humility in was her Faith. However, being trapped in Ghastly Gorge during her own pet race put her in a really dark place. Filled with fear and trembling, Dash knew she had to reach deep within her and call out to her Heavenly Father in earnest prayer. And to her amazement, God sent a miracle.
Contains Christian themes.

Shame religion and ponies are almost always a magnet for baseless downvotes. Controversial topics aside, the writing certainly isn't bad enough to warrant a downvote. My only criticism would be that it's a bit fast-paced, but for a one-shot based around a minute or so of canon episode, it's not bad at all.

Indeed. If only 'Love and Tolerate' extended to such things.

I for one am wary to read this, not because it's religious, but because the description mentions Prayer Warriors.

First of all: This is really well written and I ended up actually liking it. I'm not a Christian myself, but I don't mind people being religious (I'm the kind of atheist who thinks that one can't sense the ontic world, so I'd never arrogate to say what is real and what isn't).
Even though English isn't my native language, I found some mistakes, which I am now going to point out:

She turned and saw that to her horror, that her right wing was held down under a large boulder.

There's one "that" to much in there. Also, there might be a comma missing here - not sure.

I want be with my friends, and join the Wonderbolts, and a tone of other stuff.

Missing "to" ("I want to [...]") and "ton" is misspelled.

"I. . .didn't treat those pets right, didn't I?"

I'm pretty sure it should be "[...], did I?'".

[...] and Dash lent a hoof in helping him wrap it around Dash's injured wing.

Not really a mistake, but I'd write "[...] helping him wrap it around her injured wing.".

When Rainbow Dash is trapped in Ghastly Gorge with no escape, she is left with only one option: prayer.

That had my interest.

hardly considered herself a Prayer Warrior

:rainbowderp: Um, no. Thanks anyway…

The only thing Dash ever showed humility in was her Faith.

Well… Maybe? :applejackunsure:

Filled with fear and trembling, Dash knew she had to reach deep within her and call out to her Heavenly Father in earnest prayer. And to her amazement, God sent a miracle.

Er, no. I'll pass. :fluttershysad:
No downvote, still have a couple of your other fics in the to read later pile.

I actually quite liked this even though it was quite short. There are just odd people out there who think actually having beliefs is worse than not having them. There are probably a few downvotes on this story that it did not deserve. This is a one shot and this is what one person believes. Do not just down vote because you don't share his beliefs. I for one enjoyed this because it was something I never considered. I sincerely hope this story's comment section does not turn into a war. It is a story, read it because you want to. To the Author, God bless you as well. I hope my comment makes a little sense and i'm sorry if it is just me rambling.

to be honest there have been many times when I felt like I was trapped forever and then there was some mysterious savior, always getting me out, always picking me up, but I knew that it was because I have tried so hard to find faith, I know that I will still face such obstacles but I can and will overcome.

this is like walking in the sand with Christ, most times you are walking you would see two pairs of foot prints leaving a trail, but at times when there is only one, it is because the lord is carrying you through the troubled times.

That was just a term I heard some where. I assumed it meant someone who prays passionately and goes on and on. Did I make a mistake?

Technically yes, since it's associated with a story about hypocritical douchebags who murder people in the name of religious conversion. Maybe it used to mean something else, but the connotations it's picked up since then aren't pretty. It's along the lines of calling a fic My Immortal, except worse.

I Think It was a Good story

I just got to the part where she first calls out to God. I had to stop and go, "Ha. ALL OF MY YES."

This was great. Heckuva better lesson than Celestia tries to teach.

Beautiful. It's nice to see someone who's willing to write about faith in a world that tries so hard to reject it.

3471477 no what story are you talking about a prayer warrior is someone who prays passionately

join the Wonderbolts, and a tone of other stuff.

*ton

It just seemed possible.

*"didn't seem possible."? "seemed impossible."? As it is, this seems to be the opposite of what you mean.

I like this idea a lot. Being religious isn't a character trait that looks like it would fit with Rainbow Dash, but it works surprisingly well. It adds so much depth, especially here, where it only really shows up when she's alone.

This, was amazing. God bless you.

Pretty good. Naturally, there are no direct Christian references in the show (that I can remember off the top of my head), but then, they have no choice with a kind's show on an entertainment network. I would like to know just how Rainbow knew about the Bible; I'm not criticizing, I'm in fact pleased, but I'm still not sure how the knowledge got there.

I certainly enjoyed this. :pinkiehappy:

Amazing story 4 out of 5, only missing 1 star because this fanfic [or fimfic] should be longer.:yay:

There was this one guy who was hiking in Utah alone and fell into a gorge, trapping his arm underneath a boulder at the bottom of a hole. He also prayed to God; he was Mormon. But after hours and hours, after even several days stuck there, he still was not free.

The answer from the spirit, however, came to his mind clearly. There was only one way to get himself free. The man then decided on the one option to free himself.

He cut off the arm at the shoulder with a pocketknife.

He doesn't have an arm anymore, but he remains as staunch in his faith as ever. God made it so that he had lived through the experience; he could have easily died in the rocky lands of Utah, but he was found and treated.

I loved what you did. It was terrific, all the way. Maybe, though--maybe...the fic could focus on a darker route. Maybe Rainbow would have to sacrifice her wing to be free, and then she ends up questioning God as to why that happened, as well as what she can do now.

That was a great story, dude! God sure has given you the talent to write stupendous stories.

...
You know
Its been so long since I've seen a Christian thing that doesn't actively hurt my faith that...i dont know how to feel for it
You did good buddy
