Michael Spriggs is invited to Equestria so he may visit his daughter, the budding changeling Chrysalis in the midst of her teen years. He's missed her terribly in the month since she left, but Luna visited him and offered him the opportunity to traverse worlds and see his little pumpkin.
He is shocked to discover the ponies have been watching Earth for a long time and are preparing to make first contact with Earth. However, his concerns lay fully on the purpose of his visit to this strange world. Fully intending to return home, Michael will follow his daughter in her choice to go out and seek other changeling hives to learn about herself.
Join them, a sorceress, an overweight changeling, and the Sun and the Moon as they venture deep into the greatest lair of the changelings and meet the mysterious Empress of the Changelings. There are secrets, personal quests, discoveries, and the simple desire to survive the odd things this world has in store for a simple human.
Not all is as it seems as changeling eyes are upon father and daughter; watching, waiting...
Rated T for language, violence, sensuality and gore.

And I'd also like to know what the hell is goofing around with his frontal lobe. There was mention of a pressure but not quite a headache, then a tickling later on. He's... He's not gonna grow a horn, is he? That would be kind of awkward when he has to go back to Earth.

The situation reminds me of so many animes with a young, but smokin' hot daughter and her overprotective and terrifyingly deadly daddy. Just icing on the cake making him nearly twice as tall as a pony, a mouth full of pointy carnivore teeth, and a combat veteran.
...and I'd be going to that kitchen a lot more. Those ponies down there seem a hell of a lot more accepting of him, and food. Yeah, it mainly the food, but the company can't be beat. Besides, it'd be easy to slip in a D'awww moment of him and the little kids playing around... mostly him getting gang-tackled and 'defeated' by the heroic fillies or more "keep them quiet and out from underhoof with stories about Earth" time. I suspect they'd all (grown-ups included) would like to hear about how Earth is one giant Everfree Forest minus the monsters and advanced [to them] technology. Too bad he doesn't have a laptop or DVD/monitor combo to show off our world in a better light like the Planet Earth series, or Cosmos since Carl Segan can turn anyone or anypony on to space with his hypnotic powers, heh, Luna would love him.
But if it's called a mobile home, why don't they go anywhere?

They can go how fast??? As an ex- military man he might sidetrack to the Blue Angels and how curiously alike they are with the Wonderbolts that most ponies should bring up in that conversation.
Not sure if he should frighten the fillies when he explains how our weather can go nuts sometimes since we don't have pegasi to deal with with tornadoes, blizzards, hurricanes, tsunami, and other ways to kill more humans in one go than all the population in LosPegasus. Not to mention that humans are pretty good at wiping ourselves out too. Yeah, defiantly not stuff for the fillies.
Nether is TV and the Cartoon Network, it'd turn the little rugrats into fat couch potatoes overnight.
3378055 First of all, they're more accepting because they serve all sorts of guests. They still stare at Mike because he's a human, but they're less likely to panic as they constantly have griffons, minotaurs, donkeys, and other palace guests visiting to explain preferences and diets and what have you.

3388957 Well...Twilight is a bit of a mad scientist...
I think what's happened is, mentally, he's been fed cake. Nothing but cake. Lots and lots of frosted triple-layer cake. The brain can only take so much and then the tipping point... and that technocolor yawn into the toilet... in this case, it's his mind having enough of this silly magic business and barfing mentally all over the place.
I have a feeling he'll wake up in a bit, sweaty, exhausted, feeling like utter crap for a while... but relieved in the brainpan having purged and equalized to Equestria's background magic field.
The alternative is he'll never get used to Equestria's magic, kinda like how some people are never cut out to be astronauts, because as soon as they get weightless, they get dizzy and barf every time.
The third option is 'C', he's becoming part-Changeling and the emotional link to Chrysalis (and by extension, the hive) is just the start of a long train of awkward and embarrassing changes.
By the way, can Changelings sense one another in this world? I'm just curious when the Changelings will find out she's not dead, she's just pining for the fjords.

That reminds me, do ponies have aluminum? I bet they don't because Celestia doesn't want them to make aluminum foil which is the primary, and only, material for tinfoil hats. And tinfoil hats are the only known defense again mind control rays. I own an extensive collection of antique tinfoil hats through the ages are I can safely say without a doubt they certainly work.
I've still not discovered a proper defense against the dreaded "Big Watery Pony Eyes" that the CMC have managed to weaponize and use with frightful efficiency, like an elite sniper team, called upon to take out the resistance and make me cave into their demands for more icecream sodas...
And where do ponies get carbonized soda? It's not naturally occurring, that's for sure. I seriously doubt they have the equipment for high pressure gas infusion set up in the back of the store. I guess it can be written off as some unicorn named Gassy McGee using his magic talen to carbonize sodas but that's a pretty dull talent. Lord only knows what his cutie mark would be.
Since we're on the subject of parties with soda and balloons, where the hell does Pinkie Pie get all those balloons? There's no balloon tree with ready to pick packets growing on the branches. Is there some tropical colony of ponies way down South harvesting the latex off rubber plant trees? Natural latex is not the best for balloons, I should know. And you'd have to be an alchemist of Zecora's caliber to process the goop into something usable to fashion balloons.
Oh, er, sorry. My brain seems to have sprung a leak and spilled random thoughts all over the floor. Just a moment, I'll get a mop and clean that right up before somepony slips on it and knocks their head silly. The last thing I need is that OSHA pony official showing up and giving me the riot act... again.
