Octavia has been working for eight years in a calm club in the upper parts of Canterlot, enduring the ever irritating harassment of the nobles. One day she is assaulted by one of the higher nobles, but is rescued by her former collegue Master Exploder. Together they decide to flee the White City in the hopes of making a name for herself in the Big Apple

Vinyl Scratch has been the DJ of a popular nightclub in Canterlot, but when she finds out that she's going to be replaced by a trendier and far cheaper guy with absolutely no experience, she decides to pull one last trick up her sleeve to write her name in the Hall of DJs before storming off. Frustrated at the loss of her job she is then forced to flee a noble offensive, being rescued by a masked vigilante. In panic she grabs the first train out of the city and headed for Manehattan, where the top DJs live.

They soon meet on the morning train to The Big Apple, each hoping to start their new lives. But the lives they dreamed of are far from what they can get. There are people everywhere who are offering them jobs, some are legit others... far less safe.

lol, Tavi looks like Rukia in that pic

Yeah, it was the only picture that I liked that actually fit the story.

On another note, from what anime is this Rukia? I'm interested and google doesn't want to tell me

3493645

that makes sense. and rukia is from Bleach.

3494103
Thanks for the clarification, I don't watch a lot of anime and Bleach has been kind of hard to get into. Maybe one day I will start

3494146

yup, I find it interesting, but some can't get into it.

I have to say its a interesting story I like the way you describe Tavi personality.
The characters seem to remain interesting though out the first chapter but Tavi stood
out the most for me she seem have a attitude but down to earth. As for master he seem to be interesting and makes me want to learn more about him, I have to say I enjoyed the story and can t wait to read more of the story.
I only found one typo in this : All you have to do is say yes and your life will be set." he said softlyas he put his right hand on her face. you just combined softly as. :ajsmug:

Thanks for pointing out that typo, it seems that every single chapter has at least one typo I can't see.

Glad to know that you liked my portrayal of Octavia, glad to know that the characters I have made or tweaked are actually likeable. Hopefully I'll have Vinyl's introduction by friday.

Is Master Exploder a reference to Tenacious D?

3532785
Eh, not exactly. Master Exploder was originally known as Metal Riffs, and he's based on this handsome guy:
static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11112/111127889/3245959-eddie-riggs.jpg
His name is Eddie Riggs and he's basically an idealized version of Jack Black. So if anything, Master Exploder is a tribute to Jack Black in some twisted way.

I'm surprised that someone actually figured it out! I've rebooted this story twice now and in none of the three instalments has anyone figured it out. Kudos to you!

3533883
Yup, he's what I call "Tribute characters" Each of my new stories has one (Requiem for a Soldier, How to Bore a Commissioner and this one) but Master is the first one to have been discovered. You think you can find the others?

3534354
Yep. And I really liked Brutal Legend, one of the best video games I've played. That and I really wanted to have someone capable of killing people with the Power of Metal.

3534559 That would be pretty fuckin' cool. Just play a few chords and someones head explodes into chunks, not dissimalar to blowing up a watermelon.

3557774
Thanks for the compliment. But I must ask more of you. Could you say anything about what you liked and/or disliked? I really need some feedback, pretty please? Thanks!

3557789 i'm don't really know much to say as i'm no expert on writing. but really it just kept my attention, i tend to be easily entertain by interesting concepts like this if they are done decently and make logical sense. so as long as it stays somewhat logical (Just no Major out of character moments) and it has more cool references like the owl which sounds like a batman reference and Master Exploder which is a Tenacious D reference it should keep my attention.

3559365
Yeah, they're not exactly references per say, Master Exploder is actually a tribute character. Definition: a character that I base off someone in real life and/or fiction and give him a unique place in my stories.
Master isn't a reference to Tenacious D, although I really like them. He's a reference to Eddie Riggs, a roadie from the video game Brutal Legend who is voiced by Jack Black.

The Owl is kind of a tribute character, but he's not just Batman. He's got a little Nite Owl in him. Also his secret identity is a canon character, but that's not really important....

Actually, her weapon is a jury-rigged pulse rifle henceforth the toy gun description. I'll try to make it clearer because I agree, it is very confusing. If you want to know how the gun works and/or looks, watch this video:

The Bass Cannon/ Dubstep Gun won't be coming out until a good deal later. To me that thing is a BFG and I've yet to explain how music affects magic.

As for the Wub Wub thing, I'll change it. I never thought of anything better, but I'm always available to criticism.

Thanks for your opinions, have a nice day!

P.S. Might I interest you to read my other stories? They're set in the same universe within the same time period. Just click here for the first one and here for the sequel.
