Exelent begining, now I do wonder if Rainbow Dash will become Flash, Rarity will become Batmare, Fluttershy being Wonder Mare, Twilight being Dr. Strange with Spike being her assistant or somedragon along the lines of Zartana and Pinkie Green Lantern

There is a little problem you might not have thought about. If Applejack is the Kal-EL counter-part in this fic, where did AppleBloom come from? How does AB fit into the apple family because of this?

Truthfully though, of all crossovers, any involving Superman is very difficult (and personally, I'd say the most difficult) to do. Even for the great writers.

3297460 I do hope you aren't disappointed, but it's going to be a while before Applebloom actually shows up in the story, and even when she does, she doesn't really play an overly important role. I want to focus on building up AJ's character as Supermare through several story arcs before introducing any other heroes right away.

This seems promising. A little too early to tell how good this will be, but I think if you take your time crafting this story, with a clear purpose and goal for the protagonist of this story, then it will be successful. I'll be very interested to see what the main conflict will be here.
3300828 From what I have planned, there isn't really going to be one central narrative. It's going to be made up of several story arcs, all focused on either world building, developing Applejack's character, or a little of both. I'm trying to incorporate elements of various Supermen, but it's mostly based off of the Animated Series from the 1990's.

3304145 She'll be in there, just as an R63. I'm pretty sure that's not the strangest thing to ever happen to the character, so I'm running with it.
Seems like you rushed things a little with this. It was a bit confusing to read that AJ apparently hasn't noticed her powers all this time until just recently with her desk. In the last chapter you had Big Mac mention how baby AJ was really strong for being a baby, so it didn't seem to fit that AJ is just now noticing how different she is, given that she's a mare in this chapter.
The recuse scene was especially rushed. I know for something like that AJ, and really anyone in her situation, would act without thinking or reflecting on anything else, but that is suppose to be a turning point for her right that sets her down the road to being a costumed hero right? I wish you had taken your time with that scene. But, given how everyone reading this already knows Superman's origins, there isn't a whole lot you can do different with a pony version of that... I guess. I'll be interested to see what you do now that AJ is wearing a costume and saving other ponies.
3306870 I was trying to stay somewhat faithful to the beginning of the show, while not making it just another copy-paste story at the same time. I assure you, the next chapters in this story arc won't be as rushed. As you said it, most people already know Superman's origins, and I was trying to get that out of the way as quickly as I could so I could focus in on developing her while she's a superhero as opposed to before.
Great story so far. This is the first where i seen AJ as Supergirl. Usually they use Rainbow dash or one of the other main 6. Cant wait to see how the others pop up in if they do.

3307203 Thanks! The others will show up, but it's going to be a while. I thought AJ made more sense as Supermare, since she grew up on a farm and is an orphan as well. She's actually pretty fun to write, and hopefully the next chapter will be out in one or two days.
3307219 I agree with AJ being a perfect Supermare. For all the reasons you mentioned. Plus like how they say Clark is a boy-scout being all good. I see AJ being a girl-scout and the same way. As for the others i could easily see them filling the roles of other heroes and heroines

Have you based off the animated Superman pilot? This scene is reminiscant of the one from that series.

First Trixie makes a pretty good Lex. wonder if she will be as devious though. I thought it was funny how trixie described her armor. Lol

To be honest, I was expecting Flim and Flam to be Applejack's Lex Luthor-like nemesis, but Trixie seems to pull it fine anyway, Great Job

Well, you're rushing things again in the story writing. It's not bad, but it comes off rushed where things just happen because they do. The characters in this story are getting more interesting. I'll keep reading just to see what you have happen next, but it is okay to slow things down a bit and really flesh out your idea of AJ as Supermare.
Are you still working on this because it's AWESOME!
3324834 Fluttershy definitely would be Aquaman as both tend to be underestimated but hold great power and they both interact and bond with animals.
