Children don't always think of the best way to solve their problems. Both of them were in the wrong, Scootaloo just handled it by 'kicking flank' like she thought RD might.
In all honesty, I have found in life that this works a lot better. Call me crazy but I have done everything possible when it comes to being bullied and fighting back was the only thing that finally got them to let up. Eventually I still had to move to another school, but you know what? Two of the guys that bullied me, never bullied anyone else again.
