Some soldiers don't want to be soldiers. Some soldiers would rather be painters, or take over the family business, or go to culinary school.

Excellent. I really liked the scene in Whacas' office, especially.
This is good. If only there was more information on the forces at war, I still have no idea who are the alliance actually fighting. The feel and setting of World War I is a nice touch.
