Two months after the events of Yellowstone, Wild Magic from Equestria has run rampant throughout the rest of the world, resurrecting ancient horrors from around the globe. Mysterious and terrible monsters of myth threaten to exterminate both mankind and ponydom! With the blessing of Princess Celestia, Twilight and her friends reunite with Agent Hawk and his team to combat this new terror before it destroys the world!

During the late Old Kingdom and the First Intermediate Period, the Egyptians gradually came to believe that possession of a ba (Soul) and the possibility of a paradisiacal afterlife extended to everyone. In the fully developed afterlife beliefs of the New Kingdom, the soul had to avoid a variety of supernatural dangers in the Duat (A limbo of sorts), before undergoing a final judgment known as the "Weighing of the Heart". In this judgment, the gods compared the actions of the deceased while alive (symbolized by the heart) to Ma'at, to determine whether he or she had behaved in accordance with Ma'at. If the deceased was judged worthy, his or her ka and ba were united into an akh. Several beliefs coexisted about the akh's destination. Often the dead were said to dwell in the realm of Osiris, a lush and pleasant land in the underworld.
But, if you fail, Ammit (Devourer of the Dead,” “Eater of Hearts,” and “Great of Death.”) was next, you see Ammit lived near the scales of justice in Duat, the Egyptian underworld. In the Hall of Two Truths, Anubis weighed the heart of a person against Ma'at, the goddess of truth, who was sometimes depicted symbolically as an ostrich feather. If the heart was judged to be not pure, Ammit would devour it, and the person undergoing judgement was not allowed to continue their voyage towards Osiris and immortality. Once Ammit swallowed the heart, the soul was believed to become restless forever; this was called "to die a second time".
Ammit was not worshipped, and was never regarded as a goddess; instead she embodied all that the Egyptians feared, threatening to bind them to eternal restlessness if they did not follow the principle of Ma'at.
I won't be touching the Lovecraftian Mythos in YtS. It would be too big for it, and I would need to pull out some serious nonsense to have something like Elder Gods popping into existence 5 dimensions away because of a little thing like a shot of wild magic on Not-Too-Distant-Future Earth.

Makes sense. I have one question though... given the appearance of Odin's Eye in later chapters, how familiar are you with Norse Mythology and how much of it is going to show up here? Because if it's what I think it is, I think I like it. I like it a lot.
Good story thus far (And yeah here some norse mythology you might be interested in)
In Norse mythology, Hati Hróðvitnisson (first name meaning "He Who Hates, Enemy") and Sköll (Old Norse "Treachery") are wolfs that according to Gylfaginning chases the Moon and sun across sky (Hati the night sky, Sköll chases the Sun during the day), until the time of Ragnarök when they will swallow these heavenly bodies, after which Fenrir (Son of loki the trickster god) will break free from his bonds and kill Odin. (To twilight loki would sorta reminds her of a certain draconequus)

Well, looks like I found a new favourite story to obsess over waiting for updates.
Very well written, despite some minor flaws like the occasional jumbled up sentence (you do a lot of rewriting, don't you?). I am looking forward to where you will be going with this. Barnes is giving me the creeps right now. Oh and I wonder if we will see some good old human-pony-loving. 
I do indeed rewrite an awful lot, and jumbled up sentences are my bane (as well as those little grammar errors). Feel free to tell me where I made such errors and I'll do my best to fix 'em up.
And yes, Barnes is creepy. The fact you think so means I'm doing something right for once.

for you see Diodorus relate Lamia had an affair with Zeus and bore him children. When Hera, Zeus' wife, discovered the affair, she became enraged and killed the children. Driven insane with grief, Lamia began devouring other children, and, according to Diodorus, her face became hideously distorted from her grisly deed
Zeus then gave her the ability to remove her eyes to appease her grief over the death of her children. Later stories state Lamia was cursed with the inability to close her eyes so that she would always obsess over the image of her dead children. Some accounts (such as that of Horace, below) say Hera forced Lamia to devour her own children and gain her serpentine form due to Hera wrath.
This is REALLY, REALLY good. Nice Vinyl-Cameo, though I would have wished for a little jab at the Octavia-Vinyl-pairing so popular among the fanom.
As for the actual writing and story:
Really, really good and I did not find a single error in my first read. Plus, the background-music made the battle in the club the undeniably coolest thing to ever be written about punching skeletons. That, and the glowsticks.

Very cute and (of course) well executed. Trying to critizise you is getting hard with every time you post something. Stop improving so I can keep nagging!
But all joking aside: I love the concept, It really let's you wind down after an action-heavy chapter like the last one. Oh and I could just hug you for not abandoning your characters once they served their purpose. I hate it wenn writers do that.

Character abandonment is the leading cause of the Scabs, and I don't want any of that.
And now for some...ominous news. 
I am writing Episode 5 currently (current position is 10000+ words), but it is taking a ludicrous amount of time to finish. So thus begins he long pause that has blighted me for months as I struggle to actually sit down and write the darn thing. I will however be posting other stories I have written for up coming mondays that are of, shall we say, more speed-fic-y in nature. But worry not, I am still writing (if you can call it that).
The minisodes essentially act as additional back story and world building, as well as in some cases, foreshadowing. However, seeing as how I only post one every two updates and I'm still stuck on Episode 5, I may post another minisode if I run out of other stories to fill my Monday updates with.
As for having a minisode based sub-story, you'll kind of get that with later minisodes.
And don't worry...there will be a time where Diamond Tiara meets a human.

At first I was disappointed that this was not the awesome 10,000 word epic you wrote about, but that opinion soon changed when I read it and it turned out as thrilling and awesome as ever.

Well, the stock answer is, "Because it's Pinkie Pie," but I feel that isn't sufficient. That, and I just feel like being overly technical today.
Essentially, she has to stand up while driving, placing her rear hooves on the pedals while putting her fore hooves on the steering wheel. It's not very comfortable, and a normal pony probably wouldn't be able to do such a feat, but as we all know, Pinkie Pie is no normal pony. She is, in fact, a lovecraftian elder god. Sure, she's small, pink, totally huggable and super cute, but it is all a clever disguise. Our only saving grace is that she is one of those nice elder gods that prefers baking cookies over consuming souls.

I think you want to use "In addition to" rather than "Despite", as these are both reasons that Twilight and Hawk would find difficulty pursuing a relationship.
That's a good question. My original beliefs were that I would have a great deal of free time to write at college, but I neglected to take into account my crippling paranoia. So, while I have had ample time to write, I spend almost all of it looking over my shoulder and thinking, "NO ONE MUST KNOW I WRITE PONY FANFICTION."
I attempt to write as much as possible over the weekends in a nice secluded basement that is otherwise occupied most of the week if that's any consolation. Though I do get sidetracked by other things I'm working on, like Opening Week and the YtS RPG rules for Krass' birthday/Christmas present. Then there's Bad Batch which none of you have seen, and I really haven't touched it in a while...and then the Woodle which is just a personal project that I like, even though I have no idea what I'm doing with it. And then there's chatting with those other TCB knuckle heads in the IRC. That eats up a lot of time.
Regardless, I am working on it. It may not be a sentence a day, or in the worst of times a sentence a week, but I am trying to do what I can when I can.

Better and Better this story gets. I so can't wait to see what u have in store for the next chapter. One ?. Are there Plains for a Yellowstone 3? Or is that Classified N-Fo? 
Well, I have a few arcs planned for YtS which I hope to one day finish so I am still writing. Life being how it is however is delaying all of this. I suppose that's what the minisodes are good for.
Plans for a Yellowstone 3? Nah. YtS should wrap everything up. Well, that and the RPG version of it I'm hammering out as a gift for Krass.
“Ugh, it’s the look one pony gives to another when they want to…you know…do it.” That's exactly how Rainbow Dash would say this. [And I pray to God that she will never, ever, ever, ever, ever actually say that like on the show. That's four 'ever's. That's like... forever!

This has to be the best episode yet! All the shout outs to My Little Pony: Celestia recounting the events of "Best Night Ever" and Pinkie beginning to sing "Giggle at the Ghosties". And the awesomeness! Pinkie Pie driving a car and singing Judas Priest! And Celestia just being awesome! I really like what's being set up. I can't wait for the next installment.
