When a pirate named Captain Jack Silver steals the Elements of Harmony and kidnaps the Cutie Mark Crusaders, it's up to Twilight and the rest of the Mane Six who now must take to the high seas in order to get them back. When the Mane Six finally find them, they all soon find themselves joining Jack and his crew on a swashbuckling adventure filled with challenging spirits, terrible storms and demonic pirates, all of which act as obstacles that stand in their way of finding the SEVENTH Element of Harmony.

Hmm. This seems like a good start. There are a few grammar errors and run-on sentences with comma splices, but you've piqued my curiosity.
One thing that did break my immersion is their location. If the map that Hasbro passed out is accurate, Canterlot is landlocked. It's smack-dab in the middle of the continent. Unless the pirates are riding on a river, there really is no way for them to get close enough to Canterlot to see it, let alone have Canterlot in the east and a town in the west.
I don't think this story works as Random, since it has a definitive plot structure. Comedy and Romance would be much more appropriate, even if the Romance is a minor plot point.

Hmm a hostile nation attacks equestria from land and sea, equestria has no navy and thus princess Celestia asks captain jack to head up the equestrian navy with the help of the organizational skills of twilight.
Captain jack then stumbles upon writings of an ancient ship said to have been the strongest fastest and best ship on the seas however the enemy also possesses these writings, princess Celestia sends the mane six along with captain jack's crew to find this ship. This starts a race to get the ship before the enemy. old faces and new faces join this adventure.
