Always on an ego trip, but feeling like I should have saved what I already typed before.

T

Riverjump knows exactly how she'll die. She doesn't love herself, and no one else's love will save her. She's depressed, suicidal, and she knows she can't risk letting anyone close enough to help her. She can't, but she did anyway. There's a monster inside her, and it's not just a feeling.

Another amazing story, but my only issue is that the ending is rather confusing. I am trying to figure out what was being conveyed by the monster grabbing her at the last moment. I am assuming it is symbolic of something, and has some relevance to the stallion who sent her a letter earlier. I kind of was expecting him to make an appearance and have some kind of relevance, but perhaps I missed it.

Any possible explanation?

Ha, thanks. This is the most personal story I've written, although nothing quite so dangerous or dramatic ever happened around me even without the supernatural.

The story might have been better served with a proofreader of some kind, though. The colt from the letter was the same as the monster from the flashback--he's a large part of Riverjump's history, especially as to how she came to such dire straits in her mind. The letter was just an ambiguous roundup of their relationship, based on what I've read from abusive ones. As for the ending, I was originally writing the story as simple horror, and to Riverjump, the scariest thing of all is to keep living through all that. That's the way I see it.
