Shadow Lord Malice

I love fan based work, and i love writing. Thus I'm writing my own published works to see what shall be made of them by others.

T

Celestia had underestimated the power of Queen Chrysalis, and was brought down because of it. The queen however, wasn't stopping at merely bringing the alicorn down. Using an ancient ritual meant to amplify the changeling portal spell, Chrysalis literally casts Celestia out of the world of Equestria, and into the endless expanse of realities and dimensions. The solar princess soon lands into an entirely new world, one that is not governed by order and harmony like her own. Upon teaming up with a warrior of this strange new world, Celestia seeks a way to return to Equestria, and back to her sister and beloved ponies.

However, during her adventures with this warrior, answers to some of her deepest questions are discovered. Why was she born an alicorn instead of ascending to one? Why was her power so much greater than that of normal alicorns? These questions will finally have their answers alongside the greatest answer of them all, her ancestry.

An MLP/Skyrim crossover that for the first time features Celestia in Tamriel. I've seen plenty of fics where one of the mane six get thrown into Skyrim, but never have I seen one where it's Celestia. Anyways, I hope I do well with this story, and no, Celestia is not the Dragonborn in this fic.

Edit: 12/19/16 How the heck did this just get featured!?

BLOODY, BRILLIANT!

I just seems to fall together so well, even though it's chapter one! I mean, kynareth being their creator makes so much sense! AWESOME! :D

I want to have foals with you. :pinkiecrazy:

I'am agree with Sorrowedemon commoent ( His name reminds me of the demon I made in art when I was 13) Good story old chap or chapite:pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

I like the premise though I'm skeptical of where you'll take this. If you are able to keep her in character and make the story believable, you will have my surprise and excitement at the ready. :ajsmug:

This, I like it, ANOTHER.:moustache:

Dovahshy approves. FUS RO :yay:

I hate to be that one guy who points it out, but "Kuhnviid" is complete gibberish. There isn't a single language in all of TES in which "Kuhnviid" means anything.

Ayleid language? Nope. Elven language? Nope. Dragon language? Nope.

3107450 Oh I already know that, but there's no word for alicorn in any language in TES period. Thus I decided to make one up.

3108379
Well, you could have called her lahkeyviing, or magicka-horse-wing. Or rearrange them to get wing-magicka-horse, or something that rolls off the tongue better.

Het gein aal siiv faal rotte do fin dovahhe.

3110334 I like the sound of Kuhnviid better. Your suggestion is a bit too long for my personal tastes. Also, a three word combo is used for personal names and not the names of Species. Dov is the word for dragons, not a three word title, so that shoots down your idea. Personally though, I do believe you're right and I should use actual words, but trying to find the right ones gets tedious and doesn't make the writing experience any fun.:ajbemused:

It's amazing more please!

Celestia in Tamriel? I approve. CONTINUE!

great it is one of those stories.
after a good chapter the writer gives up and I am disappointed now

3326990 This story hasn't been given up on at all. I'm just having a lot of issues over Internet is all. As soon as everything is fixed and resolved, this story will be back up and running.

3347783 oh thank god you're story is just amazing

Holy sweet Jesus, it's back. YAY WITH THE UPDATE!

Holy hell an update!! :applejackconfused: Also a question if i might what sort of ax was he wearing?

3445937 Orcish battle axe on his back, and two orcish war axes on his waist.

3446541 glad your still alive :pinkiehappy:

3446541 will you be continuing your other works?

MOAR!!:flutterrage:If thats ok with you that is.:fluttershysad:

I can't promise fast updates, but I can promise they won't be long.

almost one year later

When is the next update?

The only reason I know of unicorns (and alicorns) belonging to Kynareth is because one other person told me they were important lore in Oblivion, which I've never played.

I'll keep an eye on this.

There are a lot of Skyrim crossovers on FiMFiction, and most of them aren't really very good; the ideas would work a lot better as straight Skyrim fan fiction. The best ones I've found either use Skyrim as flavor for an original story (The Wind Thief), or use it as a backdrop in which to tell a story that isn't about Skyrim, including this one. No one reading this story really cares about the Dragonborn — we already know that story — they care about Celestia. Sure, they care about the Dragonborn insofar as he's a part of Celestia's story, but we're here for Celestia, and that's going to help carry this story.

There are a lot of nice touches included, too. The Dragonborn's seemingly bottomless backpack is lampshaded beautifully, and how meat and other food stays fresh (ice wraith teeth, obviously) is explained in a lore-friendly way. There are even references — possibly unintentional — to the Campfire and Hunterborn mods that don't feel out of place, and fit in perfectly.

The story is well-written, well-thought-out, and, could it possibly be true? Could I possibly go so far as to say that this story is...

Immersive?

7805032 I also saw a Frostfall reference.

Still think the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE is going to be useful.

7805266
Well, there you go. It's now 100% more immersive than it was before.

7806493 It could be mistaken for a shout, though.

7806687
Could be taken as one, used as one, and quite possibly empower a Thuum (shout).

I can't describe it, but something about the way Celestia is depicted annoys me.

Anyway, when I saw this story I wondered how you'd deal with Celestia's immense power. Butt I guess you solved it.

Again, looks like you solved the issue of Celestia's immense power. Though I don't understand why she wouldn't be able to tap into Magicka. They're essentially the same thing. Magic and Magicka.

Ok, one niggly thing. Magic is often depicted as energy that is closely linked to life itself. Soul energy, if you will.

So, seeing that Celestia has NO magic. From my POV, that's impossible. If she had no magic, she'd be dead.

Magic exhaustion is a thing. When a unicorn runs low on Magic, exhaustion sets in, until they faint from overuse. This may be an instinct to stop unicorns killing themselves.

I know the Magic in Skyrim is different, as you're able to deplete your Magicka to no ill effects, but that's just from a gaming POV. You have to consider the world inside the game, therefore the UI of the game is disregarded.

And now I wait for people to prove me wrong.

7809200
7809208
7809221
Well then, let's not keep you waiting. I hope you're ready for some world building.

So, first things first. Celetia's magic is not totally gone. There's a bare minimum amount she's producing to keep her functional, and only that. Because she's amassing and utilizing it subconsciously, she cannot actively manipulate it, kind of like a biological defense mechanism to drain herself dry. Season four finale also blows a hole in this accusation, but we're using skyrim logic for the most part on this.

Now, the biggest thing you have to keep in mind is the difference between equestrian magic, and tamriel magicka. Magic in equestria comes from within, magicka from skyrim comes from without. In short, Celestia is looking for magic in the wrong place, as what little magic she's producing within herself is tied up in keeping her from going catatonic from mana depletion. Magicka in the elder scrolls series originates from the stars, which are holes into the realms of the aedra and daedra, allowing magicka to flow into the world. Tamriel mages utilize ambient magicka by absorbing it, then channeling the reserves they've amassed into spellcraft. If this were Luna instead, she'd already be using some magic already, due to her connection to stars. Celestia, however, doesn't have that advantage. Eventually Celestia will figure it out, but she won't become all powerful again upon doing so.
