Hm, a blackout in Ponyville. I'll admit, that concept is a bit new to me, and it's a pretty funny idea.
I like how you changed the story from one pony to another, letting us have a little insight of what their reactions were during the blackout. (Apparently when it comes to technology, ponies are similar to humans in a lot of ways.)
Twilight Sparkle having knowledge about electricity? She might know how it's made, but she's kind of like a grandmother or father: she has absolutely no concept over computers and things along those lines. (Don't know how that spawned, but you have to admit that it's true.)
Derpy's second favorite treat is licorice? Eh, at least it could go with the storyline.
Not half bad. You deserve a like for your (possibly) hard work!

I found this after making some horribly bad puns commenting in another story, and read this because it had a pun in the title. It was good, I kind of would have like some scenes fleshed out like the Apple family thing, and Rarity. I love pinkie's scene though.
Love the Dark label too. It's a nice touch.
