Can't tell if I'm pissed off because you beat me to the punch by writing Buck to the Future or happy because it's so great. I was gonna have Scoot as the main character and Doctor Whooves as the Doc. First time I ever read a fan fiction and I was very surprised. Loved the constant Back to the Future parody theme throughout the story.

I hope you end up doing all three movies, if they ever travel back to the old west you need to incorporate Filthy Rich or Granny Smith somehow.

Well, I have a very strict "only track 4 incomplete fanfics at once" policy, and based on this first chapter, this is a very definitive addition to the list.  Aside from being a big BTF fan, this story is simply way too clever to pass up.  I had at least 2 or 3 instances of "I c wat u did there" laughs, which are always a pleasure for me.  I'm sad to say I couldn't exactly imagine the Doctor's time machine device properly due to limited imagination, etc, but from what I did understand of the device it seems appropriate enough for the MLP universe given the strange anachronistic lifestyle they have going on.  The biggest question on my mind right now is what event in the past (or future even) Scootaloo is going to encounter.  Whatever it is, I'm suspecting Dr. Whooves will be there regardless.  Thumbs up for the first chapter, so good luck with the rest!

This is actually a double-crossover. The main storyline is "BttF-ish" (so fans will recognize and hopefully appreciate it), but I'm adding in "Dr Whooves" so this is not going to be a copy-paste with ponies. The flight harness is... a conceit, I admit it - I needed both a time-machine and a way for Scootaloo to fly, as well as a reason for her to "try it out" without the Doctor's tacit approval...
