3056198 I agree, but there's a massive contingent of people in the world that boo-hoo over any death, regardless of circumstances. It's actually infuriating. Every time I hear about someone I respect dying peacefully in their sleep at ninety or whatever, the forum threads are rife with "oh my god how terrible!"
My response is applause and "bravo."

for me, anyway, it's less a feeling of "how terrible" and more simply a matter that death, in particular the death of a character who I have become really attached to, tends to have a strong impact. What was more sad to me in this story though, was that she had spent so many years alone, not that she passed on at the end.
this was really good, the scenario is familiar but instead of making it overly sad and regretful like every other author using this idea does, you made it more peaceful and touchingly real, though the sadness and regret was there it was handled in a composed way. good job!

Those Flarity stories I've read always seems to focus on Rarity crushing hard on Fluttershy. It's nice to see it from Fluttershy's perspective for once.
I'm impressed by how much drama you could inject in such a short story.
I can't help but feel this is in the same continuity as Steel Resolve's Green.
