First story, first chapter. Here's hoping I get this right.

To begin we introduce the non-pony folk of this tale. Over the next three chapters there won't be any ponies, but luckily for you all I'm putting them out all together at once. Chapter 4 is where Twilight and Co. will show up, and from there the party can begin!

Kinda found it odd that the villain introduction is the smallest chapter so far. You'd think I'd have more to say about them.

Hopefully I can make each chapter around or bigger than the first, but no promises. Hope you all enjoyed the set-up, next chapter will start up with good old Twilight and friends as promised.

Fix'd

Introducing: Mark Magnum! He's not me, and I hope the things I introduce about his hobbies and character are a nice change to some of the standard HiE stereotypes. Also, he looks like a beardless Commander Riker, what's not to love?

As promised we see some of the ponies at last, although admittedly not as much as I planned originally. Still, I don't plan to rush or squeeze anything into a chapter that I'm not comfortable with. Plus, this is way longer than I planned, so I'm happy. Expect more blending of worlds next time.

Took longer than expected, but I was having problems determining whether the story should play out like episodes, or as if reading chapters in a book (go figure). So far I think, for many reason, that it's like a book. Anyway, here's Chapter 5, enjoy the slice of life this is and tune in next time.

I know the viewpoint changes are a little sudden and random, but it's intended as I continue with the crossing of worlds. It should settle down to only 1-2 viewpoints per chapter from once the 'Pilot' ends. Also note that the timelines of each viewpoint tend to backtrack a bit (dawn of day 2, for this section as example) without warning. As a rule assume that when a character's viewpoint is shown for the first time that it's happening prior to or before the start time of any previous characters during a major event.
