Hiilarious. ...But you'd think Twilight probably knows the Princess's birthday. I imagine, at last in my head, she's been let in on the secret as her Most Faithful Student. I imagine, like Spike, the Princess has been getting books for a while....Though, given we now know Twilight's love of fiction, probably rather good books.

I know there was an episode where she snapped because of her anxiety. But Is love to one day see her trully fucking snap, as in it talking for her to be taken down to the ground and forced into submission to calm her down.
Princess Celestia burst into gales of laughter, clapping her front two hooves alternately against the floor. Twilight raised her head, joining her friends in staring. "P-Princess?"
"Bravo!" Celestia called out. "A most daring prank. It has been ages since anypony had the audacity to pull a fast one on me, and I must admit I missed it."
Oh, well that's disappointing. I was at least hoping for a freak out of SOME kind...
Princess Celestia was bright pink.
"It doesn't seem to wash out," the princess said through gritted teeth, her eyes thinned to slits and her horn glowing. A brush dripping with red soapy water hung in the air next to her.
"P-P-Princess! Please, let me try!" Twilight's horn shone as she cast a spell on her teacher. There was a purple and pink flash that blinded everypony for just an instant. Twelve eyes blinked rapidly to clear their vision.
Princess Celestia was pinker. Her eyes glowed with pure gold light. The brush vibrated, then exploded, splattering the walls and ceiling with red sugar water and soap. The birds on the windowsill chose that moment to fly away, nearly knocking each other out of the air in their hurry.
Wait, is Twilight dreaming?
And then Sugarcube Corner was on fire.
Oh. Well. Okay, then. So that just happened.

Sorry, Celestia isn't really the freak-out kind of pony in my mind's eye, what with being at least one thousand years old and a prankster herself.
And yup, I trust by now you've discovered that Twilight was indeed dreaming!

Definitely had an episode feel to it, though a bit cut and dried at times, probably due to the limitations of canon and sticking to what we know of the characters. Ah, written in 2012 well I certainly can't take points off since the show wasn't all that fleshed out that long ago. NEVERMIND!
Regardless, I enjoyed it, I'm a large fan of the pink one so I was naturally going to like her parts, and RD was written better than I generally see her (too many authors stick to stereotypes and catch phrases for her I guess). The dream bit was a nice touch, having the fakeout made the actual events feel more grounded. Of course, I'm also a sucker for Celly being humble and kind so that also helps
