Blessed with immortality. Having the ability to live along side your friends and family without worrying whether or not you might pass before them one day. Some would find this to be a....blessing. But what if you see things differently?
Twilight Sparkle does. Being able to live forever means nothing if she can't be with her friends, so how will she be able to cope when she is left without a single one of her friends to be by her side?
The last one she saw go was especially hard for her to see leave. Now Twilight is left with nopony by her side and how can she live on without at least one of them?

This was such a beautiful story, I loved the friendship between Twilight and Pinkie and her sorrow at Pinkie's passing. And how she regrets outliving her friends. My hope, of course, is that if Twilight continues to live as an alicorn princess she will not be immortal and outlive her friends. Because, after all she's learned about friendship that would totally bite.
Anyway, great story!

Morgan's tweet didn't kill the possibility of immortal Twi. It was only in the context of the show. Basically, we're not going to see her outlive her friends as there will never be an episode that focuses on death or that far into the future.
As for the story, I liked it. Starting to get bored of the whole immortal blues thing, yet I can't stop reading these kinds of fics...

urg, okay that took like 10 minutes, Alright. I need to stop doing this to myself. Pinkie is my favorite pony, and lately a good amount of stories I have read focus on her dying in some way. As I have continued reading these with no change in my mood, the quality of the writing increases and yesterday I cried and today I cried. gosh. where I live it is 10:00 in the morning and you have already made me cry. Congratulations. That was absolutely beautiful. I don't know many stories that have that affect on me. It was so sad, and I loved it so much but I also hated it for making me cry. 10 out of 10. That was brilliant. This quality writing is what keeps me on this site.

2966325 Yeah, animated cadavers totally equal the soul which imbued the body with vivacious life. It would actually be crueler to do that, since she'd look upon the rotting corpses of her friends, but they'd lack the soul which breathed life into the body of that pony. What I'd like to see Twilight do, is cherish the memory of her friends, but to be able to make friends anew, since her friends would want her to be happy, even though they are gone.
