Heck, I'll write the creepy perv Rarity who is an incredibly screwed up twisted individual and yet is redeemed and gets crowning moments of awesome and ends up happy and loved. That's kinda my schtick, even.
If Darf likes to write the really dark stuff that guts you and leaves you bleeding out and going 'well, that hurt, I can't feel my legs' then that is what he should do. It confuses me too sometimes but IF that is what his muse truly wants then he shouldn't waver from it. My muse once demanded a story of Applejack being killed, and it was hell to get any redemption and heartwarming into that one, let me tell you, because there was no evading the concept that haunted me. You gotta be true to the concept first, and some of Darf's concepts scare the crap out of me
You know, that's what I find very odd. They try to inform so many people about the dangers of aids, but I feel like they're doing a shitty job at it. The only thing you hear is, it's a bad disease, put on a goddamn condom, but I can't recall a single time when they told you about the symptoms, so you could quickly seek help. At least it's like that in my country. Honestly, for all the times I've seen one of the "put a condom on" advertisements, I still don't know what causes aids, other than that it can happen during sex.
