Now, are you certain this is a comedy? I dunno, unless you're making a satire, Poe's probably not a good choice of author to ponify.

I mean, there's nothing inherently wrong with the story itself (besides some formatting issues). You managed to stay true to both the ponies and the original source material. But comedy? I didn't really see it in this first story. Everything was played rather straight.

Now, the concept you're going for here can lend itself to some interesting tales. I should know: I've done it myself, and plan to do it in the near future with a series that I dub the Fourth Wall Theater Troupe (/shameless plug ). So, you have a pretty creative idea here. It's just that the execution confuses me a tad.

The comedy is a little hard to catch here, since the punchline is just one word.

The whole idea is that we were talking about AJ pranking RD the whole time, but it seemed like something darker. Maybe not so much a comedic story, but more of an ambitious gag.

Maybe my sense of humor is just dark.
