Interesting I will follow this story
So far this has a really cute story-line. Something to work on, though, try 'showing' a little more instead of 'telling'. For example:" He was a afraid she was going to drown him. " You could put instead " The widening of his eyes at the sight of the water gave Fluttershy the impression he was afraid of it. When he turned those fear filled orbs on her, it was like he was associating that fear of the water with her. 'He must think I'm going to drown him or something.' The yellow Pegasus's mental grasp of the situation lead to an idea. "Fine. I suppose I'll just have to take a bath with you.". "
I've got this issue myself a bit.
I am glad you decided to post this also on Fimfiction.net. I loved this chapter, and although it is only three into the story, this is my favorite one so far.

Adorable, but I see a bit of a plot hole. If Lightning's mom died giving birth to him, how did he recognize her appearance and the sound of her voice well enough to be upset by Twilight in the previous chapter? You made it sound as though Lightning had at least been around his mother enough to correlate her with Twilight.
3097272 Maybe there will be a further explanation in a later chapter more about Lightning's mom. Also my friend, another great and heartwarming chapter. Fluttershy is indeed best pony with great maternal instincts.

Good to see this story is continued! I hope we don't see Lightning's awful father come back, I also like to see to some more interaction with Lightning and Twilight seeing how Twilight resembles his mother. :-)
