On a Filly Scout camping trip in the Whitetail Woods, Scootaloo is determined to prove she’s not a chicken. In order to do so, she sets out on her own to find and capture the legendary creature known only as “bighoof”. Unfortunately, she’s about to find out that the Whitetail Woods can be more dangerous than their serene appearance suggests. Can Fluttershy bring her back safe, or will something else find her first? Also, Cheerilee completely loses her mind!

Oh Celestia, I'm glad I found this. I'm very glad you wrote it! Scootaloo and Fluttershy were so darn cute, and poor Cheerilee, heheh. You know, this feels like it would make a great episode, its got that sort of funfilled charm with alittle 'lesson' added in.

This was just so darned adorable. I feel bad for over-zealous Cheerilee, but this was such a good fic that could have been an episode.
I read this back when it came out several months ago. It belongs on the list of the most life-changing stories I've ever read. Wanting him to be real, not just to believe. It's a powerful metaphor if I've ever heard one. This put words to my feelings in a way that I was never able to on my own. Thank you so much for writing, and for sharing. I read this on DeviantArt and loved it, so I'm so glad that it's here. Great story.
I love being able to come back to a season 1 fic that stands perfectly well on its own even two seasons on. In this case, particularly after Sleepless in Ponyville. Flutterloo bonding is just not something you see. This has a great mixture of comedy and action, and I didn't anticipate the bobcat becoming a major part of the story like that. It was a lot of fun to read!

In the beginning Silver spoon was fighting? How? A squirrel could lift more than her. A single hit from Scootaloo should have her on the ground, in tears. With a cast.
Actually, I'd really like too see Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon get pummeled.

This was a nice surprise, given that many very old fics are a bit iffy. It had a slightly uncertain start, but once it found its voice it became really enjoyable. Cheerilee felt a little off, but Fluttershy was great. Could do with a proofread, not that I imagine it'll get one now, but otherwise well above average.
