likelove the foreshadowing in this. The destiny of Twilight Sparkle begins....Your author's note is particularly interesting, because I have a story that features both Luna and Zecora as the main characters, Night Errantry. I don't normally promote myself so blatantly, but since I discovered you after you favorited my other published story, I thought I should at least mention the coincidence.
Anyway, I too would like to see more stories focused on Zecora, so I'm glad I found this one. My favorite part is when she dons her Naming garb and reflects on the power of image. That struck me as quintessential Zecora: wise, intuitive, and shrewd.
I also liked your portrayal of the Night Guards as silent and efficient, to the point of scaring Zecora with the speed of their flight.
If I may ask, what were the reasons Zecora dropped her rhyming the other two times? It just struck me as odd, since you explicitly explained why the first time, but not the second and third.
I promised this a long time ago, I always keep my word...
Whoa, this is pretty intense. I didn't think that Celestia was the only one who knew about Nightmare Moon. After readin' this story, it makes sense as to how Zecora can be another mentor figure to Twilight.
